Remember when Chris G was the people's champ and played shit like Ryu/Wesker/Hawkeye and Firebrand stuff?
Yeah...him having the input buffer costing him a clutch grand finals versus PR Balrog via accidental Shinsho mindfucking him made him turn into the Morri-doom monster you see today.
He wins...but people no longer cheer. Dropped his Ryu and odd ball Firebrand bro and just created this monstrous space control game. Even dumped his anchor Hawkeye for Vergil to go full evil about it.

The SG community is fucking themselves over again with the bad timing.
Honestly, I don't think the top-tier teams would change much. All those characters have sustainability with Zero and Vergil being the big ones since they're good at mixing players up on their own and can kill most characters in a single combo with the necessary meter. Phoenix is still viable.
Not taking anything away from Chris, but Flocker got a clean hit with a char the missiles were originally targetting, did a TAC, and the missiles turned around to hit the new character.
