What about the FGC?

Fighting Game Community?

I have never paid enough attention to it to be excited by it. Any time I look at fights, there is too much going on on screen, and due to my lack of knowledge of the genre, there is no reason for me to get excited.

The only fighting game I ever got into was the last Mortal Kombat, and that lasted about a month or two. I am excited to play the next one, but have no urge to watch people play those game though.

It is my own lack of knowledge that is at fault, as I just cannot be bothered to invest time to learn what it needed to appreciate things. I am much happier jumping between games and genres when viewing games online (which is why I enjoy Giant Bomb so much)..

You must have lived in Mississippi then because even the 49th-ranked Georgia public schools cover George Patton.

And, technically, it's not really African involvement as it was Axis and Allied powers engaging within North Africa. Within /= by

Illinois, Chicago suburbs.

Africas involvment in WW2 was never once mentioned in any of my high school history classes.

(currently JR in Uni, so i have a good memory of HS history)

Same here. However, I first learned about WWII from film...

The only way to communicate to Dan is to relate it to wrestling.

Danny's hatred of Mustard is like somebody saying that Rick Flair had no talent.

I'm going to guess probably not. I think he'll mostly stay behind the scenes like Ian did and Drew used to. Who knows though, after making Drew a bigger personality on the site maybe they want everyone to be involved. They may switch off who is in the control room on stuff like UPF so both of them get some exposure.

I'm sure he'll be almost exclusively behind camera in the beginning since that's what they need. But as with Drew, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to ease him into being more of a "personality" as time goes by. He'll at least be their main fighting games guy from the start, I think that's a sure bet.

Also, LurkerPrime's overreaction...

Been listening to alt f1 for awhile now, and contrary to what most people told me it's actually mostly on-topic discussion about F1. Which isn't what I'm looking for unfortunately.

I went to the strip club with pockets stuffed with twenties, but had to come back when I noticed the club had been shut down a half dozen years before. Damn New England's puritanical laws. I had no choice but to buy the fridge. It's in transit, and should be here on Tuesday. Maybe Wednesday. Either way, I'll send it out the next day.

Here's the letter I plan to include with it. Put people's handles where available, so check it over to make sure you're on there, and listed how you want to be listed.

Hey guys, I learned a trick from another thread for anyone who's using Android and Chromecast:
Chrome on Android can directly cast videos to your Chromecast. Just go to Giant Bomb, play a video, go fullscreen and you should see a Chromecast button in the top left corner! If it doesn't work, go to chrome://flags, find the setting to enable Chromecast support and enable it. You should be prompted to restart the browser at the bottom of the screen, so do that and it should work.

HD videos work fine, as does subscriber content. You can of course leave fullscreen mode and do other things while casting too, and it's a "native" cast so it doesn't drain the battery.

interesting, I'll give that a shot when I get home. I've been using the ipad video buddy -> chromecast but it also then means I can't use my ipad while it's playing.

edit; I can use it but it's only an ipad 2 and it means that trying to use anything else just sucks while it's doing whatever it's doing casting to the chromecast.

random, but I was watching the Pre-Thanksgiving 2013 stream where they played Windjammers at the end... I forgot about how much RAGE Brad had when he lost... looked like he was about to turn into the Hulk or something, it was awesome.
