Really awesome ! I wish they could do videos like this with crazy announcements more often in the upcoming weeks !

I was hoping we could play as either Lucina or Chrom, it seems they just decided to put the avatar instead of the latter, which is a very welcome surprise. I just didn't know his/her name was "Robin" since you can call him/her whatever you like in Awakening.

I haven't been following the updates on Smash at all but how was Captain Falcon not announced until now? I thought he was like one of the bigger fan favs?

Sakurai likes to keep some characters hidden, even classic ones.

Falcon wasn't "officially" revealed for Brawl until after the game's release, IIRC.

I will say I'm bummed that with 5 FE characters in, not a single one is from FE4, the fan favorite game (cuz it's the best, maing). Hope they have a good way of making Lucina/Chrom different enough from Marth; what we saw in that trailer looked very similar.

What you saw was Chrom and Lucina from FE Awakening. Marth is the hero king of legend. Ike is the warrior king .

Well more Fire Emblem characters are better at lending themselves to a fighting game than most Metroid characters.
