With no character introduction splash screen or page for Chrom, it looks as though he will indeed be Robin's Final Smash—I think that's male Robin calling his name when summoning in his model. Looks like Sakurai is sticking to his guns with not making separate named characters alts of each other.

That's it, was this meant to part of something bigger? It seems odd to show a 3 minute trailer the morning after EVO instead of before the Melee top 8.

Also, is Lucina a separate character like Roy in Melee or a Marth alt? The site isn't loading for me. They didn't show off her moveset well, or at least not anything that looks radically different from Marth, which is a shame. Yea, that's kinda the point but I don't really care for clones like Fox and Falco.

Robin on the other hand seems interesting. Not a pure magic user, but still seems focused around it.

Though my favourite part is probably how yet again Sakurai flies in the face of the people trying to make up rules like only X amount of representatives when they want to justify their favourite character getting in over someone else.

i have said it for a while: This is first and foremost a handheld game, Nintendo needs the 3DS to sell, the inclusion of handheld characters seems obvious.

Edit: yo, Lucina looks like she plays almost the same as Marth????????? Thats lame, but ill take it, we still got Robin, and he looks SICK to play as, will be using him as main, as well as Lucina.

Though it feels kind of strange, i think it would have been smarter to pit Chrom in, and have Lucina as Chrom's final Smash, since she has the same play style as Marth.

Rewatching the trailer, it's sort of annoying how Robin says the names of all the spells. Also I wonder how the bronze sword/levin sword thing will work. Maybe levin sword as the final smash or something? Using FE logic, there's no reason to use the bronze sword if you've got a levin sword (unless it breaks...)

Is this the first character reveal trailer that was cel shaded? Usually they are 3D rendered.

They try to make the intro part of the trailer fit the game the character comes from. That's why they had an anime cutscene for Palutena and used the same style of CG used in Fire Emblem Awakening for Robin.

Her in battle animations were identical to Marth's in Awakening. Only in the CG tournament battle she used Chrom's style.

But there is no 'Marth' in Awakening. The Marth in SSB isn't from Awakening either.

She should fight like she does in the game she comes from. Having her as a clone is earth shatteringly disappointing.
