I did that in my second third and forth playthrough (I played that game a lot). But the first go round especially on normal where it's still fairly easy you gotta live through those losses!

I believe Lucina will be selectable from Marths slot shes essentially just an alternate costume in the vein of girl Villager or male Wii Fit Trainer, but because shes a different character than Marth with a different name, she has her own page on the official site. I also think Dark Pit will be implemented in a similar fashion. Hell have his own name and voice, but hell be selectable from Pits slot.
Each map is like a grid where you can move, attack and do other actions with your team. You upgrade, level your team with items and can select which if your team to follow into battle. the battle system follows a rock paper scissors system for each melee and magic type battles, as well as a few other additions that don't follow this. It follows a permadeath structure on normal difficulty where if your team ember dies, she's gone for good (not on casual). I haven't played FE:A yet, but the story is decent enough in FE games and the character support convos and story often are ok/good.
I'd recommend you look at the GBA games on YouTube to see what type of Gameplay is involved.

Very disappointing. I hate clone characters, and Lucina just looks so fabulous.
Just like Falcon and Ganondorf play totally different, or how Mario and Luigi play different, I'm sure Based Sakurai will make sure they feel and play different too.
There are more unique female characters in FE:A, but Lucina happens to be one of the main chars. Then again, Chrom isn't playable.
They even mentioned around E3 (I think during the Project S.T.E.A.M. event?) that SMTxFE was right on track, or something like that.

I know it's killing me. also Roy wasn't even a lord in an English released game and is pretty terrible as a lord in his own game. Robin looks like he plays like I always hoped Ganondorf would play. Lucina, Chrom, and Marth do all use the Falchion so it will be interesting to see how their moveset differs. Ike uses Ragnell which is a huge sword and hits a lot harder than most other Lords.
I'm happy with the FE representation and I'm happy Roy is gone.

That's almost certainly why Lucina is in the game at all - she gives Awakening (which is super popular) extra representation, and she's an easy character to make since her abilities are derived from Marth's (which fits in perfectly with her role in Awakening). If she's anything like the clone characters in previous Smash Bros. games, Lucina isn't taking the spot of any totally unique characters; she's pretty much just a bonus.

Tharja would've been glorious, but any debate about her probably would've started and ended with her appearance. Even with ZSS in the game.I wonder if Nintendo debating putting Tharja in the game over Robin.
