Why are people mad about Robin? It hits two birds with one stone - a lead/important character and a character who doesn't fight like the current FE cast in Smash.

He's not called Ridley or "random character people want"

Not bad, not bad... I main Marth so it will be interesting to try out some of these new FE characters. I want some new stage updates, now... like a Bionis or a Mechonis stage!

OOOO. Such a good set of reveals. I'm so glad to see a "Serious Fighter" character like Falcon makes his return right after Evo, too.

Some Observations:

• I really hope Lucina uses variations of Marth's moves as her default, if she's a straight clone. It'll give a reason for people to Main her in Tourneys, and make an altered moveset "official."
  
• I hope Lucina has her mask as an alt. Also, it'd be great if her being a separate character can also give some more Fire Emblem throwbacks a chanced to be referenced. (Nephenee Palette Plox.)
  
• Robin is also a great idea. I'm surprised no one is calling foul over a "gimmicky" moveset for them. Are the tombs switchable by user, or do they come out in a set order? I'm also really glad to see someone who's so magically-inclined, in a more grounded way than Oh My Goddess Palutena.
  
• It'd be great if Male and Female Robin both had different race / age? / seriousness alts. Would be a great way to add some look diversity to the playable cast.
  
• FALCON! PAUNCHHHH! Great to see him back. Really wonder how his unique style moves will turn out. Imagine an instant-use Falcon punch, or one that if weaker, but can activate in different directions?

I love the way this game is handling it's fan service. Alts with unique voices and other livery (unique taunts, inspiration on alt movesets, etc) is a great idea. I'm very happy with how committed they are to the idea. I always think it's a great way to expand the audience who might use a particular favored moveset.

Those are Konami guys you mentioned. And FEA is popular and well liked so why not.

The changes they made to existing characters interest me more than most of the new roster. They will make delicious CPUs at the very least.

No point in raining on the parade so I'll leave it at that. We're nearing the final numbers though, so I hope the next ones are some good left-fielders.

There's really no need to have your sword and shield out just because someone isn't swallowing every decision Nintendo makes about this game.

I am not targeting how a person forms an opinion. I am however targeting the way they argue since people decided to post them. If you think simply using "my opinion!" warrants your post to be immune from discussion, then you shouldn't post at all. I am targeting however at how a person simply sees "franchises" than characters (which I have already noted back in the Greninja reveal). Yeah it's fine if you don't like the character, but don't act as though the character isn't enjoyable for others. And yes, if you see the same poster doing passive-aggressive posting then it is not hard to think that the person is doing a troll.

Also I'd actually be indifferent since I am not fond of Lucina either, since I'm mostly going for Robin. And second, it's actually Sakurai making most of the shots here, and not Nintendo.

You can be mislead to think Chrom is playable too, but this doesn't explain why he didn't mention Robin (and Lucina).

I agree, but Robin is a surprisingly great choice. I fully expected Chrom or Lucina to be playable. At least this confirms that the Gematsu leak was fake. KING K. ROOL KONFIRMED!

I wanted Tharja for another Fire Emblem rep. If theres going to be a 5th FE rep, I hope it's her, not Chrom.

Looks like Robin uses the bronze sword by default and can somehow at some point switch to the levin sword.

It might be the other way around. Levin Sword probably breaks with enough uses.

Wow, just woke up and went through the thread. I'm sad it's not Skulk, I was really looking forward to seeing him get a reveal video, and now his inclusion is up in the air. Still very likely, but not as certain as it was before. Hopefully it's just because they're still working on the Xenoblade stage to go along with the reveal.

On the PLUS side, new unexpected characters! Showing that Sal's leak isn't set in stone! Also, I have to find it funny I ALMOST correctly predicted how the Newcomer video would pan out. Just replace Marth and/or Ike with Lucina, Meta Knight with Captain Falcon, and Shulk with Robin.

Really awesome video. Too bad, Youtube seemed to just change their system making my Youtube downloader not work. :/ I love to watch the trailers offline.

I said in another post in one of these threads that it is also possible that he works with people on the trailers and perhaps not directly on the trailers himself or at least not all of them.

Kingdom Hearts is the closest analogue to KI:U's ground sections I can think of. The KH style is more open, whereas KI goes for a more linear gauntlet style, but they're both rather similar.
