I still think Shulk and Chorus Kids will be on the money. Chrom was wrong, but it wasn't like Chrom was wrong in favor of Rayman or something. Chrom was wrong in favor of another Fire Emblem character, it's still pretty dang close. The little joke from Chrom himself may have been playing at both the leak and his previous consideration as a fighter.

I for one salute the impressive amount of man hours (heh) Nintendo put in to make so many playable female characters.
On a different note, next stop more rough and tumble Street Fighter 3 Makoto types and female villains please. We're at our quota of nobility and dainty/classy types.

I think it'd be great to get PKMN Trainer as an actual fighter, instead of a vehicle for additional Pokemon. He could use different Pokemon as his B-Moves.

Sorta. There's a lot of side missions you may not finish your first time getting to the final boss and there's a New Game + of sorts. Definitely play it; it was my first FA and I was blown away by its quality.

okay there is one primary difference i would like to point out between the artwork that you mentioned in robin's artwork lucina takes straight center (she takes just as much space as robin does in the artwork while chrom plays a backrole)
you mentioned dark pit and i presume you are basing it on the palutena art work the difference is while he is in the picture his presence is very small (only taking a small corner of the screen) while link pit and palutena takes front and center
now as some people have said we dont really know much about lucina but i personally believe she is just sharing the same artwork with robin (since this is mostly a fire emblem reveal it does make a lot of sense to me )
And I can see the website with my own eyes where it says she's a newcomer, and the trailer where she gets a splash screen. I can also see where all of the other gender model swaps don't have their own reveals.
Also, you can't see all of her moves from the brief footage, and you can't know that they have the exact same properties as Marth's.
A reasonable assumption in my view would be that, given the fanfare, she is indeed a newcomer clone and not some costume that has broken the status-quo so far that model swaps occur on customizable characters.

Also, let's not forget that Palutena troll during the Smash Direct, which probably would not have happened if it weren't for everyone expecting her thanks to the leak.

Still pretty sure Shulk is in, dunno about Chorus Men it could be Marshall, the fact we got a RH enemy makes it seem pretty strong that someone from that franchise will be playable

Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps he saw the Chrom model and thought that he was in for sure? Regardless, 8 for 11 (likely 10 for 11) really is no easy task.
N's the only Pokemon character I'd want as an actual fighter, and only if he was riding on Zekrom/Reshiram the whole time.
Are there any side by side comparisons of Lucina's nair, uair, side b, and up b with Marth's? We saw those from her in the trailer, and from my approximation they looked pretty much the same. I haven't played enough Smash 4 to feel sure of it though. I know we have footage of all the demo characters doing everything, so Marth stuff should be easily findable.

Oh definitely, it could go either way. It's just weird to me that the first newcomer we've seen that isn't a "real" new character was also revealed alongside an actual newcomer, was lumped into that artwork, and doesn't follow the normal rules of being a newcomer. We'll just have to wait and see, there's no way to tell either way.
