Just so we are clear, in that episode Homer learns the duel consists of shooting his opponent and doesn't do it right? Either way I remember him losing.

I'm all for it then. :)

Quiet you, I only have so many slapping gifs to use!

lol

Anyway, the argument has run its course. It's literally everybody vs. one poster.
I'm also of the opinion she could be an alt, but I'm just smart enough not to continue the argument when it literally doesn't matter a bit. Don't know what you guys got so worked up about that some people want him banned. Sheesh.

Wait, people want me banned? Why? I haven't seen any of that. That's ridiculous if true, it's a legitimate issue about the trailer we saw today. And like you said, I'm definitely not the only one.

At any rate, it's better than "Too many Fire Emblem characters".

No one wants or cares for him to get banned. Stop trying to make this a bigger, personal issue than it is.

It does matter in that clones have different properties to their moves, speed, percentage, hitboxes, etc. An alt would just be Marth with a different skin. So it would preferably be a clone for the gameplay variety.

Also, nobody wants him banned, lol.

I'm left wondering how many surprise unlockable characters will be left for us to discover on our own in the 3DS game. I'm also thinking this will be a huge ass roster in the end.

I agree it's stupid, but nothing came of it, so let's just forget about it and talk about something else.

Lucina's a clone, she's not an entirely different character.

I don't think he means "fighting style" character, but rather, "unique individual" character. Like, even though Fox and Falco were clones in Melee, they each had their own selectable space and are considered seperate characters.

I don't really like how there are so many generic anime looking faces in the game. It's not that I'm against the anime style, but I feel like they needed to gear those types of characters(Fire Emblem guys, Palutena, Zero Suit, and possibly others) towards the original art they were taken from. Instead they seem to be trying to match that genre of character to one bland anime-ish face look. Smash Bros is supposed to be about different aesthetics and art styles all being juxtaposed besides each other. I think this art direction they've gone for with these types of characters is just a little too boring and it's making characters from completely different franchises look like they belong in the same universe/world together. I have no complaints about most characters and how they've stylized and rendered them and they've actually done a pretty good job with most characters. Just kind of upset that the FE guys/girls don't look enough like the great art style they originated from :/
I'm not fond of the movement towards a more anime art style in Metroid in general. If you look at Super Metroid's aesthetics and compare them to Zero Mission's, it feels like something was lost by making them so cartoony.

What if Lucina is the Pichu of Marth?

I'm wondering if we're going to have anymore random veteran reveals. The last one we had was in May, and it seems likely we're going to get a new video in August and possibly early September. I'm guessing whoever's left that they want to reveal will just be integrated into those videos.

This has me thinking very deep thoughts... thoughts beyond video games... beyond Smash Bros.

Am I an alt of my brother...? Are we all alts of each other... ? I don't think I want this game anymore. Life is short and pointless. We are all headed down the same path.

IIRC, Sakurai's reasoning for no transformations was to prevent one character from turning into a radically different one. Lucina is Marth with less of a personality and longer hair.

We've had a Fire Emblem clone before, and it's fine if we have it again. The only close I'm against is Ganondorf/Captain Falcon

Is Lucina indeed a clone? In any case, I'm completely fine with it. I'm against clones, even to something like Lucas and Ness but she seems perfect. She is a character that needs to be like Marth.
