In the US we have a beta section, but no option to preload it. Who knows why Sony is so inconsistent with stuff like this? Is it really that hard to be consistent across regions on simple stuff like this?

Im off 'till friday now. Time to binge watch Destiny videos. I am going to record hours of gameplay during the beta and try and use the downtime before full release to piece together some share factory videos.

Not having a go and i apologise if it came off that way but there just is no chance. It is an end game raid so unless they have gone and scaled everything in the raid for the beta level cap (which would be a massive job) it just won't happen.

It will get plenty of internal and in-house playtesting i am sure.

Not according to any source I've seen. The stats are obtainable normally, but the paintjob is exclusive. There's a disclaimer on the site saying that the style is only exclusive until 1/1/15 though, so it could end up being available.

Edit:

*Upgraded Sparrow paintjob exclusive until 1/1/15. Better acceleration, higher top speed and higher durability plating can be attained through gameplay.

There were Sparrows in the alpha that had increased stats, they were just purple-rarity and level-locked from what I remember. You could buy them from the Shipvendor in the Tower.

The upgrades are obtainable in-game (acceleration, speed, armor plating)

The paint job is exclusive until 1/1/15

The best ones were from the crucible vendor and required crucible rank 3. On top of even higher stats, they also added a strafe/sidestep/whatever like the pike has.

One of the main reasons going into the crucible will be worthwhile.
 
Gaf, I had the destiny white ps4 preorder at gamestop. Now, I picked up the PS4 at target for 300 dollars.
Should I return the one from target or cancel my preorder at gamestop? I already have the ghost edition on preorder. I wish I knew more information on the game coming in the white bundle other than Destiny Bundle Edition.

Preloading would be nice, but I find logging into the PSN web store during the afternoon to start a download will have 15-20gb games downloaded before I get home. Or if nothing else at least the initial 4gb for games that download in the background while you play them, still not sure how that works when you remotely start a digital game download, whether it d/ls the whole thing or not.


Edit: hah I also took Friday off, not entirely due to the beta but that bonus sure helped.

When will we get our PS4 beta codes? The 17th? Off the Bungie site, or via email?

if you check bungie.net it will more then likely be under the code redemption page. You will also get an email that says go to bungie.net

With the EU pre-load it downloaded a 179 MB file then background downloaded the rest of it (12 or 13 GB)

Isn't the white bundle just going to have the base game? Probably digital as well. Stick with the $300 console. Still cheaper, even if you get the Ghost edition it's not that much more.

Yup would do this. Base game is what i heard is coming with the bundle and with no option to upgrade to LE or Ghost its not worth it (white PS4 is nice but meh).
 
So each Focus has different aspects in regards to the Jump ability, right? Do we have any idea on the other versions with the Warlock? Because I really wasn't feeling that whole floating thing.

I work for a store that buys back consoles, and white anything (Wii, Xbox, etc) is always dirty as shit. And I'm sure it's my clientele, but they just seem like a pain.
 
I like to consider Bungie a friend. Maybe even family. Maybe both Friends & Family. Anyone from Bungie is welcome to crash at my place.

I'll do anything for early access on any of the 4 consoles. Anything!
