Except that she admits that money doesn't buy everything in her S-Rank and regardless it's hardly an utterly insane position to take (those rings cost money!). For all your complaints about her support (apparently?), it's one of the most down-to-earth and realtalk ones in the whole game. She's a very vibrant, funny character otherwise with some of the best quotes in the game.

You play on a chess-like grid, you move your characters around and attack. The entire game is just a complex strategic board game. There are side-quest fights you can do every once in a while though. Every time your characters are in adjacent squares they jump into the other's battle and can land a second hit or block for them, this raises affinity between the two. The real gold of the game is that you can unlock conversations between characters and some can even get married and have kids... and their kids join your army.
Also the series always had "permadeath" which was if ANY character died ONCE they were gone FOREVER. Making each character very precious. The newest game, Fire Emblem Awakening (who Lucina, Robin and Chrom are from) is the first game in the series to make permadeath optional. So it's GREAT for new people for the series, it was my first Fire Emblem game.

To be honest, I'm not particularly attached to 2 or 3, I just think K. Rool could have a cool moveset, and I think WarioWare gets too much attention in Smash at the expense of Wario Land, even though WL is, I think, the better series.
I recommend keeping permadeath on. I did as a first-time FE player myself, and it added nice challenge. My brother (also a first-time FE player) played it without permadeath on and he just blew through the game.
It has to be better. But no, it's hard to have faith. Then again I'm incredibly sensitive to any lag in fighting games. I had to stop playing MvC3 at some point because it was just too frustrating.
Though the poor matchmaking was also a big factor.

It's hard to talk about the netcode because we have nothing to go on. We know they are aware of how unsatisfactory Brawl's was and online play seems like it will be a bigger part of Smash 4's experience. From this we can deduce it will be better.
But that's really it. That's the entire conversation that can be had right there.

That at the very least is good to hear if true (Source?). EVERY fighting game this generation, regardless of how talented the developers have been, has been borked balance wise at release. Balancing fighting games is HARD and Smash seems harder to balance than most. Its part of the reason I was happy to hear about potential DLC characters in the Gematsu leak (before Monday happened of course
). Adding DLC characters would mean they would be FORCED to go back and look at the game from time to time which mean they could issue free balance patches if need be.

Well to be fair, almost everyone knows the doc is the true original and regular mario is the inferior clone.

You'll be fine. The game is very newcomer friendly and provides an adjustable difficulty setting in the beginning. Normal difficulty set on casual play will mean you do not have to worry so much about losing characters in battle if they die. They'll just come back at the end of a stage. All the mechanics are pretty straightforward and clearly explained.

You are involved with a mercenary army thing, You could get shot in the fucking face. Tomorrow , she could wake up and the Mongols could be stabbing her right in her face. You got peeps from all backgrounds in your crew, and all the other options probe this point specifically. if she is so down to earth, and reasonable, why the fuck hasn't she come to this conclusion earlier. Why did it take me, robin, player character trying getting in her armor for her to get this. Trunks, came though the time warp, from a nothing future with doc brown and the dolorean to punch a dragon in the dick, just so her future could not suck shit. And you talkin bout money?
