Exactly. If you lay out everything objectively, it'd be dumb to discount the Gematsu leak entirely based on Chrom, when everything else (including some truly inexplicable details, like Wii Fit Trainer and the name "Mii Fighters") were 100 percent accurate.

While I'm not 100% sold on it either way yet, I have no doubts people would still doubt it even if both Shulk and Chorus Kids are confirmed.

To me, if that happens, there's no question the leak was real

All four of Robin's specials sound really interesting. It also notes Elwind can run out, at which point it no longer shoots wind downward while propelling Robin upward. In other words, it would appear Robin loses his recovery. I imagine there might be similar limits on the other specials. We really need Sakurai to clarify how tomes work.

To be honest if Shulk turns out not to be in the game I bet people will get delusional and think he's a hidden unlockable.

I seriously don't think he will be in the game.

They likely regenerate on death.
I kinda like that idea. Like a much more significant, reversed version of Lucario. So he starts off with really strong spells, but the longer the battle goes on, the weaker he gets. I'm curious how many uses we'll get though. It could be enough to be almost meaningless, or it could force very careful play (and maybe be crippling). In order for it to be an exciting character, the spells need to be especially strong (almost overpowered) or have a high number of uses.

Thanks to Lucina's mask, you people creeped out by her mannequin stare can now enjoy her!

(Personally, I love her face, so I'm keeping the mask off)

would lol if it's like 25 shots per weapon

Mask off taunt: Lucina throws them toward the screen and they explode

Mask on taunt: mask descends from above and lands on Lucina's face, says "deal with it"

Something tells me by the end of this, I'm going to end up buying Fire Emblem Awakening.

It's great, buy it before you're totally spoiled on it.

Definitely mask on for me, as of now she looks like a barbie. I mean Chrom is part of a FS and yet he's showing more emotions.

If he uses them too much he runs out.

I'm like 90% certain that tomes will refresh on death but not in the same life.

Really makes you wonder what kind of custom moves he has to offer as well.

Well, there's a recharge period before a broken Levin Sword magically mends itself, so I don't see why there can't be a same-stock recharge period for tomes. A recharge period basically keeps you from spamming your specials, forcing you to be strategic in terms of when and how you use them.

That would honestly be really stupid and gimp the character far too easily.

He has a multihit projectile, a chargeable full screen projectile, a life drain ability, a really good recovery and a limited but rechargeable power sword.

Doesn't sound gimped to me, sound more like he has a load of overpowered abilities that are balanced by the fact that they aren't infinite to discourage spam.

Gone. Here's copy paste info on Robin's moves:

Forward air attack
When performing this move, if you were to smash the analog stick in the forward direction, Robin will attack with his Thunder Sword for additional electric damage. But like all of Robin's Thunder Sword attacks, you can only use the improved version a finite number of times.

So Robin does have air smashes. Neat.

Down+B: Nosferatu
Purple-black smog in the shape of a snake appears right in front of Robin when this move is used. If your opponent is hit by it, he or she will be "cursed" by the spell. When a cursed opponent is hit, Robin's health meter will recover. What's also interesting is that if the cursed opponent is struck from the back, the amount of health Robin recovers will be larger.

Even neater.

Wait, this just aays when the character is hit. Not when Robin hits them. This needs to be clarified, because if any hit on the cursed character heals Robin she's going to be the ultimate stock tank for doubles.

Neutral B: Thunder
Hitting the button once will activate a charging period for Robin's Thunder spell, and hitting it again will cast it. The amount of time Robin charges will determine the version of the spell cast (Thunder, L Thunder, Giga Thunder, or Tron).

While charging, you can also hit the shield button to cancel the move and store the charge -- the next time you hit the B button, Robin will resume charging from wherever you left off previously.

So it's basically the same as Samus' neutral special.

Having Robin's tomes regenerate only on death seems like a bad idea. Hope that's not the case.

It depends on how long they last. If they have a good number of charges, then (like JoeInky said) it's a good way to balance a character with a lot of dangerous abilities.

It also discourages defensive play - gotta get KO'd to get your tomes back - so the competitive community will love it!

Nosferatu would be pretty useless though if the tomes recharge only when you die: you get your health back to do what, if you have no worthy attacks left?

I love most of the people telling me to buy it have Fire Emblem avatars.

I'll buy it soon when I'm done with my classes and have more time.

Yeah, a recharge period for all his attacks other than the bronze sword seems better to me.
But that limited recovery has me a little scared to use him. I'm gonna die a lot D:

Found this on facebook.

Did you enjoy older FEs or games in that genre? I got it for free and i thought it was decent but nothing special and lost interest 2h in. I really want to give it another shot tho.

You'd still have worthy attacks, in the form of your Bronze Sword and regenerating Levin Sword, which allow you to deliver Smash Attacks. Nosferatu's HP restoration could be useful after you've expended your other specials and need a lower percent to survive longer as you get up close and use smash attacks.

Sweet Robin is basically what I thought and can charge his neutral b similarly to Samus. So I guess that tome throw away thing in the trailer was just a taunt?

Wait, so if robin uses his up b too much, he loses the ability to use it to recover?

Yeah, there's got to be a recharge on that.
