You have to pair your phone with your ps4 first and it can be in stand by mode.

Standby mode is fine. If you access the store from the app, you just get sent to the mobile site on your phone's browser.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm on a Windows Phone so I can't get the PS4 app to pair to my console, but can I still start a remote download just using the store in the browser? (I'll probably just borrow someone's Android phone to use if it's necessary)

Why are Bungie employees so bad about talking about Destiny? Listening to this guy talk about Destiny just makes the game sound unappealing. Some of it is the amount of grandeur he puts into parts of the game, and part of it is the humor he's trying to use. I feel like the only good explanation from Bungie about Destiny was in that Jason Jones video.

I wasn't sure if this question is appropriate in this thread (figured the DestinyGAF thread was maybe for request only) and maybe it's been answered already, but are there any plans in near/distant future to open up DestinyGAF to SO's/siblings/gaming comrades if we vouch for them, or is it strictly GAF only? I've got a regular gaming group that I play online with (wife and older brother included) who would probably be interested if it were open (and it helps bolster our numbers as well). If not it's cool too, I can always game with GAF when they're not available.

Because most people are too excited about their work if they feel it's genuinely good and can't give an objective view. Hence why we have third party previews and reviews. Bias and all.

So, what am I gonna need to do to remote download the beta tomorrow?

• does my PS4 need to be fully turned on or can I leave it in standby mode?
• do I need to use the PS4 app to start the download or can I use the SEN store on my phone's browser?

It needs to be in standby, make sure you have it with the right pewer settings, that enables it to connect to the Internet & dl stuff.

You can use the SEN webstore.

EDIT: Just realized that i didn't set DGAF as my PS4 clan.

EDIT 2: Mobile life is worst life. beaten badly.

Yeah, I feel like they are talking about this game as if other people are already invested in it as much as they are. It reminds me when that guy from Incognito was talking about Starhawk. He was talking about the story and about how terrible it was that Everett was poisoned by that glowey stuff. He was saying it as if he was breaking bad news to us all and we were all supposed to be mortified to hear it.

The Jason Jones video is good because it pretty much hits the points of that web site.

It summarizes the type of game it is. It explains what makes it unique. It gives some context to the story. And it stresses why they believe the game is going to be a great game and gives you enough footage with actual context to get an idea of the game yourself.
