*hi fives Diprosalic* lol ive been good. just wanted to explain what I meant to you so I didn't end up sounding like those incredible miiverse posters.

lets hope they adjust these characters some more. i was worried about zero suit samus in the e3 build. sakurai said it's old but still, lets hope the team does some great balancing these last few months.

oh, and for those of you who played the demo, was it just me or did villager's loid side b seem a bit weak?

Guys, are we just ignoring the implication that once Robin curses a character any attack on that character by anybody will heal her?

I guess that would offset the limitation of number of tomes can be used. I mean if the tomes ends up wouldn't replenish until Robin's k.o-ed, Nosferatu healing would atleast makes him/her a bit survivable.

I'm not up to date on my FE but what's the reason Marth and Lucina share their movesets? Are they siblings?

Lucina is Marth's distant descendant. Marth is a legendary hero in Lucina's time, and she takes inspiration from him, even using his name when she first appears in the game due to certain reasons.

Gameplay-wise, Lucina's battle animations in Awakening were mostly inspired by Marth's old sprites from his NES/SNES games, and, the versions of Marth available in Fire Emblem Awakening as a bonus or DLC character shares animations and body model with Lucina.

Hey guys what's the difference between "furries" and "space animals" and please don't let it be gender

If I got real with you, it would hurt a lot of peeps feelings in here and might make them think about stuff they don't wanna think about.

The short nice answer is, they don't like it.

Krystal was the harbinger of Star Fox's doom. No thank you.

That was bad video games.

Thank you.

For the first half of the game she takes the pseudonym "Marth" after the legendary hero king himself. The sword she wields is supposed to be the same one Marth once used.

I'm also figuring it'll be a recharge on the Tomes. We know the Levin Sword comes back. I think it'd be poor design to have a unit whose moves can be used up, but that recharge in different ways.

Yeah, give him a single stock recharge on an ability that curses someone and gives you health back on any attack you do to them.

On a character with multihit and fullscreen projectiles in a defensive game and with reduced SDI, I'm sure his great ability to play keepaway until he gets his lifesteal move back wouldn't be overpowered at all.

I've seen enough real leaks to know that sometimes not everything is completely correct. One inaccuracy out of a handful of legitimate details doesn't automatically discredit the entire thing. Call it mental gymnastics, call it denial, or call it whatever else you want -- all six of the initial Gematsu characters have since been confirmed, including the incredibly unpredictable Wii Fit Trainer, and the most recent leak specifically named the Mii Fighter. Those kinds of explicit details make it difficult to ignore the whole thing. Sal's source obviously knows something, and that's why the leak is more likely to contain outdated or misconstrued information rather than being flat-out "wrong."

This is the easiest explanation. People are acting like the leak is either completely right or completely wrong. What makes the most sense, in my opinion, is that the first part was a legit leak, and the second (with Palutena, Chrom, etc.) was either old info or a fabrication from Sal's source to generate hype, considering that all characters but the Chorus Men were easy and popular guesses.

IMO, the most important thing about the leak, which was proven long ago with Rosalina, and now once again with Robin, is that although Sal's source has or had some info about the roster, it doesn't have all of it. So the roster is still open to characters not mentioned in the leak.

Haters gonna hate, ect. I'd love to see Krystal in Smash.
Right there with ya!

I don't see all the hate. If you're a girl in Smash Bros not named Sheik or Villager, chances are you've been sexualized already by the fans who funnily enough don't want Krystal just because she "sends a furry message."

Btw, no joke, this trailer has convinced me to get Awakening.

It's not that good.

I say this as someone who isn't a fan of the FE series, so my opinion holds little weight, but it didn't turn me around on the franchise, so to speak

Sexualization is part of it, but that's not even the worst part.

She's got terrible character design, an annoying personality, and has only appeared in bad games. I think the largest reason people want her in is just because she's female and Nintendo doesn't have a ton of those. But everything about her just feels like modern Rare crossed with Sonic `06. Just everything about her is bleck to me.

She's really the only Nintendo character I actively don't want included. She's awful.

Well, Birdo's character design has always been super ugly to me too but I'd even prefer that weirdo with the foot wide hole in her face over Krystal.

Edit: If she wasn't shoe horned into Star Fox I doubt anyone would give a shit about her.

This has been maybe the best week since the smash direct. Three characters confirmed, quite a bit of info regarding how they work, some extra tidbits on costumes (mask on/off), and a 3rd party trophy that could be hinting toward something more. The hype is justified for once.

And yes, E3 was great, but the three character reveals we got were about as predictable as possible.

I don't understand Awakening's love. Never finished it (after losing twice to a mission and basically throwing an entire hour of my life in the garbage I simply gave up on it), so I don't know, but for what I've seen (10 chapters circa) it's... OK. Very forgettable.

They were extremely predictable but I like them a lot more than Lucina & Robin.

If someone doesn't like the gameplay they won't like it.

It is by far the best entry in the series and has the most content.

I started playing it against last night.

The previous two PotDs alone pretty much guarantee this will be the Pic's best week so far.

It will be my second FE game, btw. The first one being Sacred Stone, and the only reason I have that one is because of the 3DS Ambassador program.

Not a fan of SRPGs, but I like the story and characters.

Most games you don't finish are forgettable.

it was by far one of the more accessible fire emblem games that allowed a lot of people into the series (as for me im a big of fan of games that have some form of strategy so these games are right up my alley)

The Japanese Smash Bros. Wikipedia page was updated to say that today's Lucina/Robin/Falcon pictorial is the start of a weekly "SmaBura Ken" (Smash Bros. Dojo) feature for Famitsu magazine.

famitsu dojo????
