Well I posted it and stand by it. I didn't critique the author, didn't even quote any of the article and the main intention was to show that the news of the allegations was going wider - meaning it is something that GB might now have to address, with regards their continued loose association with Max, internally at least.
That was a bit extreme to say; I should have worded that better, sorry. But the immediate backlash against the article just because it dared to talk about some of the issues with his post was gross.

I did listen to the entire thing though, like always. I think if Jeff or Rorie would have been there with their random jokes and reactions I would have enjoyed it more.
Above all, the guests have to be entertaining aka make me laugh. Samantha didn't do that.
Also, that Kotaku piece is pretty fucked up. She basically says he did it.

I think this weeks podcast might truly be the perfect end of the first GB "era" with Brad being the only one of the original 4 on it. I know Jeff will be back but still..

I agree.
Drew has really come out of his shell the last few months though, he has some quick zingers and one liners that usually get missed by the group, he's a funny guy.
At the start he was pretty rarely on camera and was super akward at it. Good times.

I assumed EmCee meant talking about the article was ok as long as the bashing of Patricia didn't continue, and I do have more to say about the Temkin thing, but if EmCee meant to cease discussion of the article altogether, I'll shut up. As I said in my post on the last page, I'd much rather talk about the community.

Yeah, that's going to be depressing. I can't help but await the schadenfreude of seeing some of the same people who defended the hiring decisions as picking the best people for the job suddenly speculate about whether X minority hire was really qualified or if they're just doing it to appease the PC police.
Which by the way, when do I get my kit for that, given I've been called that elsewhere? I want a badge and weapon to turn when I become a loose cannon.

I need ya'll's help. During the Shantae quick look the duders talk about gg allin. Previously on giantbomb the duders talk about another musician that plays bass, Ryan really disliked him (RIP ;() ). Ryan disliked the face the guy made when he played bass. This was durin g the livestream where it was like a test stream and ryan ended up eatying an uncrustable. Who IS THIS GUY! I can't remeber who it is! Even better if someone has a link to the video during that one big live live show where they overlay the guys face over the stream. I think Rorie si there. I thoguth the musicins name was GG allen but that s not it.

I miss some of the interns they had around, I dunno what they're all up to but I liked it back in the day when they seemed to be the only ones cranking out the content for the YouTube channel. Kessler's obviously infamous in the video games industry and I used to love his Fear Gauntlet stuff with Lemon. Tall Ben's doing stuff these days (Destructoid?), as is Nick Robinson, not sure about "intern Perry in the chat" and Dan Comfort.
Is that true? Because that is one of my favourite video game developer videos. More devs should be given the opportunity to play and comment on their own games.
Where's Ed Boon based? Get him in. I know he's busy thinking of ways to dismember the human body but that would be some good chat. Jeff, Dan and Ed.
He has said a number of times that he has tried to get other devs to do similar stuff to what Brad Muir and Dave Lang did, but with little luck. The AAA part of the industry is still way too closed off for that to be possible, but I hope they'll continue to push some indie devs with enough games and experience under their belt to do it. Ed Boon has a great relationship to GB, try to get him to do it!

Too many devs in this industry are invisible and contractually obliged to not talk about anything ever. They're also super busy. It's why so many QL EX's are with marketing folks or producers.
People tire of Dave/Brad/Drake etc and say GB plays favourites, but it's literally all they can get who are willing to say anything other than the approved marketing beats with a handler present. If it doesn't change, get used to more and more indie devs.

Dude, you need to see some episodes of Game Center CX then. It's built on nostalgia overload, and it helps that it's Japanese.
