Probably because they never appeared outside of Metroid Prime Hunters (sans Sylux in Prime 3's 100% ending).I wonder what new character would represent the Metroid series. The only thing I can think of are the characters introduced in Metroid Prime Hunters even though they didn't have too much attacks, at least they were playable. For some reason these guys get no mention whatsoever when the topic of a Metroid rep that's not Ridley comes up.

But Miis can be used online in Mario Kart. I don't think that excuse holds. The Miis not being playable with custom moveset isn't confirmed, but it's also not confirmed that they have a default moveset at all. We don't know how the three types of Mii are even chosen at this point. We lack a lot of information about them.
We are Marshall
The roster thing on the last page.Fake menu? Where?
Weavel > Rhundas > Sylux > Ghor > Everyone else.
Fact.
RIP Rhundas
...wrong thread?its the right thread isn't it? lol anyway that's awesome, saving that

I haven't been here long, I think I've only seen you with DeDeDe and Bowser
At least since the smash direct, as evidenced by the 2nd ridley gif.
Oh comon I thought you were joking. You can't be serious. 50/50, with a little Rayman boost.
I just wanted to post:
Who is happy to have stock heads back for stock matches? I am. Absolutely hated those puny bland circles in Brawl.
lol its super bash sisters! of course its the right thread
I must have missed that?!I just wanted to post:

Generic space marine from a shitty game? Please no.Simply because Prime Hunters was a pretty mediocre spin-off (of a spin-off series no less), and all of the characters were specifically designed to be Samus clones, with minor differences (particularly the aesthetics), since Hunters was primarily devised as a multiplayer game. None of the characters appeared outside of that game, either. There is speculation Sylux's ship appeared in the ending of Prime 3 upon achieving 100% item collection, but the ships just look similar, and are not identical, which means it's arguable whether it was Sylux or not in that scene.
If Sakurai were to introduce a character that isn't Ridley, I think Rundas, Ghor or Gandrayda would be better choices than any of the Hunters characters, alternatively a soldier from Other M (Adam or Anthony seem to be the popular choices here) and of course Dark Samus, who already is out due to being an AT.
After that, beyond making a generic enemy type playable (a space pirate or a Zeta Metroid or something), there's not much else left.

Defensive or not, I think this looks fun to do. I like it.We've known about pivot cancels for a while now.
I think general opinion is that they potentially just make the game more defensive seeing as they'd be used for retreating tilts/smashes rather than being something you can use in combos or for offense.
Wait, Wait? It's back? I didn't notice it at all. Link me pls!

Dang, I've posting some in all of the SmashGAF threads since late last year and I have yet to get a Smash bros avatar D: I want to change that soon.
I remember this tactic at Smashfest. It's actually really simple to do on the 3DS as well. Stuff like this makes me hype for the new games.
I didn't even think about it; I think I forgot that it changed in Brawl.I just wanted to post:

How did you not notice that?
Did you not see the invitational?
ALBW Link is not Toon Link though. And I like WW Link, he just needs to be more expressive in-game.
Why not both?

Then call him something else. *folds arms*
Shit, It has been nearly 4 months ever since I had Bowser avatar. I decided to check first day of Super Mario Kart OT. That's when I took the avatar, and It was on March 21, 2014.

A Metroid character whose moveset would be based around evolving from the standard Metroid to a Zeta Metroid, with a Gamma or Queen Metroid as a Final Smash, would actually be fairly interesting, if a nightmare to implement.
The roster thing on the last page.
I'm sure I noticed this a while ago, but I totally forgot to notice it recently. That's a very awesome and great point.
I don't like that the stocks are BELOW the profile picture and percent, though.

Haha, good one. One of my favorite one is Peach and When Snake is jealous of Sonic being in Smash.
I know. It's my defensive mechanism so I wouldn't get disappointed if Snake didn't make in the game. If he get in, then you will see my reaction when it happened.

It's time for Raiden to shine, Snake!![]()
FUCK YESSSSSSSS! I'm glad that it's back!
I was so focusing on the battles to see if I spotted anything different so I failed to notice something new with UI.
Honestly they need to get rid of the big picture of the character's face. There's no need for that when we have stock faces. I find it kind of obstructive.I'm sure I noticed this a while ago, but I totally forgot to notice it recently. That's a very awesome and great point.

Agreed, it would be an interesting concept, even though I would be worried about the balance of a character that is outright flying at all times. Plus, the internet would flip its shit if "The Baby" was playable.
The day Jigglypuff is announced is the day the more "emotional" Mewtwo fans go on suicide watch.
Really? I haven't seen too much animosity for the Metroid itself, just the shit writing that surrounded it. Though if Adam were playable, the world would burn.
I rather have captain toad make Dr. Mario an alt.I'm still betting on 6 reps for each of the main franchises, with Pokemon getting Jiggs and Mewtwo, Mario getting Dr. Mario, and Zelda getting Ganondorf and a newcomer.

At least the DS hunters have those alt modes. Anthony and Adam are like Radec from Playstation Allstars, except people liked Killzone 2.Would make as much sense as generic alien soldier from a shitty game.![]()

He shone in another game.
Time for playable Otacon.

I can't see us getting two newcomers in the same trailer, yes we got Robin and Lucina but they are the same series/game, and one is a clone. Having Shulk/Takamaru/Marshall/Dixie/whoever together means either we need like a 5 minute video, or both newcomers are going to get shafted for footage
Make every character a Marth clone. The game is much more fair that way.Takamaru is also a marth clone. So is Dixie. Problem solved.
