Eh, I've never been hungry for more than two Mother reps (that and the whole "oh they should replace lucas with her" gaf mentality has soured me on her, unfortunately).
I want 'em both (Ness and Kumatora). She'd have a different move set than Lucas. I'm pretty sure Sakurai doesn't ever consider changing the move sets of returning veterans, even if they're clones. So Lucas would still just be Ice Ness.
As of the demo, it's the same as Brawl. I wouldn't mind if it was altered, though - Jessica Martin could probably do a decent job if Sakamoto wasn't standing over her head and demanding retakes because she emoted too much.
Nintendo's First Quarter Earnings Release for FY 2014 is scheduled for July 30. With most 2014 titles from Nintendo already having a release date announced, I'm wondering if we perhaps will get the release date for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U on the investor briefing on July 31. Or maybe that is more appropriate for a Nintendo Direct?
Nintendo's First Quarter Earnings Release for FY 2014 isn't until late October (historically between October 25-30). To announce the release date then could make it difficult to market the game efficiently if Black Friday (November 28) is targeted. So if the release date isn't in late December, I would assume we will know about it between July 31 and October 31. What do you think?

Impa is probably the most "deserving" if we go that direction and I would love to see her appear. Although I can't help and imagine a Sheik clone which I'd be a little disappointed with.
Also, oni shoots fire balls, has a shoryuken, has a teleport a sword, AND has Demon fist move that he can use in air. And you can FADC cancel into his 2nd ultra with the animu cusctene finisher.

Impa has enough to work with by now that a Sheik clone would be disappointing. I'd much rather see her in as a full newcomer in the next game, with Toon Zelda being the new Zelda series clone for SSB4 alongside a revamped Ganondorf.
...I'd also like to see Twinrova in SSB5, but that's much less likely.

I think it's much better on Nintendo Direct. Direct has more appeal than the briefing. 1 thing that I can see from the briefing is whether they'll stick with Holiday 2014 or not.

Nothing says they have to announce it at an investor's meeting, as far as I know. In the past haven't they just put out a press release with dates whenever they felt like it?
If I had to guess though, I'd say we'll probably know the release date sometime in October.

If one other Zelda character should represent the Zelda Series, than Impa would be the best choice. She was in the first Zelda Game, in seven games total (LoZ, AoL, OoT, OoA, OoS, SS and ALBW) and always had an important part in the story and in the world of Zelda (she is the founder of Kakariko Village).

The leaker didn't say 100% that Shulk would be shown on Monday he simply said "Enjoy my good friend Shulk." After Robin and Lucina were revealed that's when he said that Shulk is still 100% coming.
I think Sal actualy came on here and said he got a second email. Here is the content.
Sal Romano said:
As I'm sure most of ya know, the leaker e-mailed me last night teasing Shulk.
He also e-mailed me again this morning saying Nintendo keeps a lot secret from Bandai Namco, and that Sakurai may change his mind as he does all the time, but that Shulk was 100%.
A quote: "I only know what has been done, not what or when they will be made available. Sakurai may change his mind, and he does all the time. Shulk will not be changed."
I've e-mailed him about the lack of Shulk, as well as the whole Chrom being a Final Smash thing. I'll update if I get a response.
Still finding it hard to believe. 8 for 11 is no easy task. I wonder what he has to say.
Around the time of Arcade Edition, people found out that Evil Ryu and Oni were hidden in the arcade game. They were normally going to be unlocked because most of the cabs were connected to the internet, but people were (IIRC) able to tinker with the machine to have both playable. Until Oni had officially been "unlocked" a few tournaments banned him.
I know, the "100%" part was in the second email that he sent AFTER Robin/Lucina's reveal, and what he said was that Shulk is 100% in the game. In the first email, and the only one before the reveal, all he said was "Enjoy my good friend Shulk " That's not a concrete statement, it's a tease.
I think Vaati's the next best Zelda rep - he's been a major player in a couple games, he's got a cool design, and he's got great moveset potential - and he'd be another villain. Besides, we still don't have a true sorcerer on the roster.
Again there's a few things to say here with the trophies that I find noteworthy.
First, King Kihunter is indeed from Metroid Other M, but below him, it just says "Metroid series" - on the other 3 trophies, the caption was quite specific about which games the trophies came from, except for Tiki who indeed appears in more games than FE: Awakening, thus "Fire Emblem series" is correct. Why would King Kihunter, a boss who only appeared in Other M, be captioned with "Metroid series" instead of Other M?
Also, specifically noteworthy as well, is that indeed, all the music you mention is from those games, but the music played during King Kihunter's theme is Other M's arrangement of Ridley's Theme, whereas the other 3 are unique to their respective games
even though Kid Icarus Uprising's "Return of Palutena" also takes bits of Kid Icarus' NES soundtrack, but that's just a bit mixed into the theme, not just an outright arrangement. Also, for those interested, the other 2 tracks are "I~Because" from FE Awakening and Skyward Sword's "Ballad of the Goddess"
.
This seems especially odd considering King Kihunter does have his own boss theme, and Other M has plenty of other music that could've possibly been used that isn't a remix.
I know a lot of people are dismissing the trophy theory, but I am 100% convinced that Sakurai put these bits there for a reason, and not just to be facetious.
To be honest Ghirahim would be pretty sweet but eh... probably pretty unlikely. I'm pretty settled on Ganondorf, but I would ideally like something different for Zelda.
Ridley's Theme in Other M is the only recognizable and memorable song from the entire game and is likely the only track from Other M in SSB4 (or if there are more I doubt it numbers more than two). I wouldn't put any stock into the song choice at all.
