Perhaps a silly question but I didn't play the alpha and I'm still a little overwhelmed how the game is supposed to work. Does the game ease you to it or does it throw everything at you from the start? Any tips what order these things should be done?

The alpha eased you in, but if you have some MMO experience it should feel familiar. I would play the story missions first to get a feel for the game and level up, then move into PVP and Co-Op. You will not have a heavy weapon to start (if it is like the Alpha) so no sense going into PVP until you have that.

It probably redeemed it alright. Have you looked in your Library or under Downloads in the store? The beta should be there.

Same here, I have it online, it shows up under my MEDIA, but when I go to my PS4 Download List within the PSN Store on my PS4, it says "No Content" and nothing is there.



I dont know how to get it to download on my PS4.

You can't, the service is so fucked the download list and Library function of many users are offline right now.

I redeemed through Vita but can't download the client from my library or downloadlist on PS4.

Sorry to quote myself. But I wanted people to know the context of what I am talking about, and the other comment I was quoting.


Everything works for me now. Went on my PS4, went to Download List, BOOM, there was the Destiny Beta. All of my items were on my Download List and its downloading.

Hey guys is the PS3 version really 5.5GB or is it actually more? Downloading it right now, hopefully it isn't more cause I DL'd battlefield 3 and that was 15GB and that took almost two days...

It's 13,5GB I think. It didn't take me long, but I downloaded it yesterday.

Once you log in, go to PROFILE, this should open up 4 menu options that appear under the BETA logo in the middle of the site. One option is CODES.

I used the "Redeem Prepaid Card" function at www.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com to get the Beta in my account on PSN, but I don't know how to remotely tell my PS4 to download it other than through the actual games web store, which has not loaded properly all afternoon.

Even then, the actual beta download occurs once you've opened the beta, what you download from PSN is basically a small launcher.

I imagine that will close the client, since you can't run two games at once.

Closing the client won't stop the download. Furthermore, I was able to play watch dogs and the download kept going. You can verify anytime time you want by pressing options-->Information on the Client.
