Holyshit I LOVED the opening mission/cinematic. Dinklage sounds so much better now too. Just started playing on my vita and either I'm an idiot or there is no way to sprint while playing this on remote play, which makes it unplayable. Maybe there is a way to sprint and I just haven't figured it out.

I think sprint was mapped to down on the dpad in the alpha.

I thought the Alpha looked grainy. But I've seen some screen shots from various people today that look really nice. More-so than the stuff I played in the Alpha.

1. Preorder off retailer
2. Get BETA code off retailer (either email or in store)
3. Enter code into PSN
4. Download game (preferably remotely while at work)
5. Play at quitting time

Destiny
1. Predorder off retailer
2. Get Reg key off retailer (either email or in store)
3. Register on bungie site and enter code
4. Receive PSN code at last minute and enter
5. Download game (again remotely)
6. Curse at the fact you start the client and it still needs to download another 10GB...negatating the benefits on remote downloading of content
7. Play 5 minutes just before bed because you have work ALL damn day tomorrow!

Ok so only one more step, but meh...surely they could have made it simpler to get us playing.

Yay, I was finally able to start the game and just finished the first story mission. Luckily I preordered the game from the PSN store earlier this week so had it already preloaded for today and didn't have to download anything now that the servers are getting hammered.

Anyway, so far so good. I'm liking the atmosphere in this beta and looking forward to exploring more of the world.

It does look like the character textures were increased a little bit but don't quote me on that.

You actually downloaded the shell. The downloading process is about 10.97 GB and it takes a very long time to finish.

If you have a PS4, I suggest you leave it on stand-by while downloading the beta.
