If you're getting one now, I assume that you're familiar w/ preinstalled apps on phones, which are all JUNK, so you might assume preinstalled apps on 3DS are all junk.
That or you play it for 5 minutes and move on to the great retail game you bought your 3DS for and then forget about it.
Especially if takamaru is a rob clone.

....I wonder if we'll be having series imbalances with those again. I still enjoyed them, butt the WarioWare and Yoshi's Island sections were pitiful.

I'd hate it. Rob is one of my favorite characters. I don't understand the ambivalence toward him. He's charming, like a robot Kirby.
Why would anyone want a unique character replaced?

Yess. He's easy to control but that responsiveness comes with really quick attacks. He's also good defensively because he's really damn maneuverable imo

R.O.B. is awesome. He has one "leg" that he scoots around on with built-in jet-thrusters that can deliver a face full of fire. He also shoots freakin' laser beams like one of Dr. Evil's sharks.

Reading this again, I realize that we should have known that Marth was going to get his design from the newer games. In the last part of the interview. Sakurai regrets that they didn't know about marth's new design until after they had finished designing him in smash. He then says that they'll try to get it close to the new designs in the next game.
He then asks Intellegent Systems to make Pikmin 3, which is hilarious. The guy sounds like one of us, really.

Yeah, idk either. ROB is a fun character imo, and was a super cool inclusion. I always had wanted a ROB when I was a kid. Plus he's also a significant piece of Nintendo's history. Without ROB, we'd probably not have Smash, or most of the characters in it.

Takamaru replacing ROB isn't worth it, and I'd say that ROB is arguably the more iconic character.
I get why people think Mario isn't a balanced all-rounder, but I'm not entirely sure how you could give him an edge without making it so he isn't an all-rounder anymore. It's a fine line really.

No R.O.B. was very important to the history of Nintendo if not the industry himself. He was how Nintendo git stores to stock the NES after the crash. He also has a unique moveset. He may be the most unique character in Smash as he did not originate from a videogame but as an accessory to one.
