I wonder how beneficial will Smash prove to be for Fire Emblem. I think that I'm not the only one that got interested to many other lesser known franchises after a SSB game. Of course, it's somewhat difficult to name FE as "unknown" after Awakening but still it's certainly not at the same level of recognition as Zelda, Pokemon or even Metroid. With four reps and 2 stages, FE's presence in the game is quite remarkable.

Melee was already a godsend for FE in the west.

Well during the tournament at E3 they said there would be surprises. We got a celebrity and a game journalism tournament. So expectations are low for surprises this time.

the original smash 4 trailer didnt have the smash bros cut intro which tricked people into thinking it was ACU, all the other trailers either didnt try to troll us or trolled us in different ways ex: the last newcomer reveal.

Not really, the original Rosalina one in Nintendo Direct December 2013 doesn't have the smash cut. Only the separate video got it

Yep. Chorus Kids and Wario appeared in the same game together!

Rhythm Heaven on the DS is fantastic and you should definitely give the series a go. It's the weaker of the three if you ask me, but by no means it's bad. It's the one I started the series with and got stuck on the level with Chorus Kids, so they're pretty memorable to me.

No way, I was watching that livestream and I've seen a bunch of reaction videos. The original Smash 4 trailer definitely had the smash cut.

Now that captain falcon was in the trailer, i'm sure that veteran reveal status is just based upon whether he wants to introduce them in a newcomer trailer or not. If not, he just reveals them when he's ready, if they are, he decides if it's more important to reveal them in a trailer (like falcon!) or if it's better to reveal them on his own terms (like olimar, who had a small cameo in the greninja trailer)

Correct, I watched them both live. The Rosalina did NOT have the smash cut when played live. E3 2013 DEFINITELY had it live because I vividly remember seeing the cut live and freaking out.

Back in the UK live stream it was definitely not present and everyone in the IRC was wondering what game it was saying things like "A NEW KIRBY AIR RIDE!" and stuff. Wouldn't have happened if it'd been there during the live stream as we all know the smash slice :3
I suspect they added it into the 'archive' version, though heck knows why.
