Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 10: Against the Odds, We Choose to Hype!

So, I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the discussion so hopefully this won't take up much thread space.

I really want to play through Kid Icarus: Uprising in preparation for Smash, but have some reservations about how hard I've heard the ground gameplay is to control. If all I have is an XL and no circle pad pro, do you think it's still worth it?

I'm pretty sure I will break something if Snake isn't announced in the full roster reveal next month.....

I still believe in Sakurai not to fuck this up

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes. The controls take some getting used to, but they're in no way bad. I'd actually go as far as to say the game is better because of it's controls. It really does feel like spinning a globe.

Yes, it might be uncomfortable at first, but it's a Sakurai game.

Are you right handed? Then yes, go for it. Else, maybe not.

The "full roster reveal" was clarified to just be the characters we already know. Don't expect any new reveals.

Also don't expect Snake. I'm sorry. :(

This is about the only way Snake will be in Smash this time.

I didn't even use cpp for kid Icarus: Uprising.

Look for some LTTP threads or the official OT for KI:U. There are a lot of good suggestions there for dealing with controls. But for left handed, well, CPP is kinda the best way to play it.

Good enough for me! I'm going to go pick it up later today.

Sick. I wasn't sure if he would get the Brawl Sonic treatment or not

Oh god, Sonic's alts are so terrible. I hope there's better ones this time.

Still hoping Megaman gets a helmetless alt with its own alt colors. Helmetless Megaman with a Protoman color scheme would be my main.

I'm left-handed and don't have a circle pad pro, and I loved every minute of that game. Don't let the people complaining about controls discourage you, the game is definitely playable, and it is easily in the top 5 games Nintendo has ever produced. You do need to find a comfortable way to play the game that fits you, since it can present a few difficulties, but the game is so very much worth it. I ended up using the stand sitting on my desk to play KI:U, but apparently some people prefer to avoid using it. Just try a few different things until you find a way of playing it that you are comfortable with. The highly customizable controls will be a big help with this.

Yeah, I've seen a few of the cutscenes and, unfortunately,
have a bunch of the Hades stuff spoiled for me
, but it looks like too fun of a universe to skip out on.

He has a Silver alt now, so you tell me.

Wario Ware's lack of 3D renders basically screws over anyone who is not willing to make their own render.

Thank you Wario for ruining all these fakes.
