Didn't Japan also get FF VI on the Wii U VC over a year ago as well?

If they did, that gives me yet another reason to be sad =(

We need Square and Enix games over here.

I hope we get Golden Sun The Lost Age soon. I'm just about to finish up Crossbone Island. :(

Hope they have some way to do a direct link between the games, so we don't have to enter in that painfully long password...

You can't really blame only NOA. Squeenix is notable for sitting on its ass with classic releases.

I can blame NOA. They would rather release Bases Loaded than Super Mario Kart. Releasing based loaded is not a bad thing; if it was released with any if the hundreds of games that NOA has yet to release due to "reasons".

Since everyone is complaining doing requests, here's mine (got reminded of it by a recent thread):

I'm tired of hunting down copies of Dragon Quest 1+2 and Dragon Quest 3 for the GBC. I want them on 3DS VC, you hear me, Square? ASAP ok?

..N-no?

O-ok then. ;_;

If only we got that Wii collection...

I remember when I first heard of NES Remix I thought it would come with the Remixes and the full Roms themselves. Nope ;__;

Why would you expect 16 full NES games when they sell them at $5 a piece? Or were you expecting Remix to be a $60 game? I'm not saying they don't overprice VC, I'm saying I don't know why you'd expect otherwise with so much historical evidence going against that.

Don't remind me that... I really can't understand why these games take so much time to come here...

"Want Super Mario Kart like everyone else? GFY."

Dan Adelman made a tweet a while back before he went silent that implied that Japan has a lot to do with even NA's VC. I'm not saying NOA is completely blameless, but it's possible that - as usual - they're just making the best of an awkward situation put upon them by their Japanese overlords.

I used to do some VC, but it's mostly driven out of Japan.

I don't think you understand how this works. 3rd parties release the games on the VC not Nintendo. NOA can beg and plead until blue in the face but it doesn't mean a hill of beans if the 3rd parties don't want to spend the money. I would have loved to seen the sales data on Wii VC, and the policies Nintendo has for the program.

The best example the recent Sega tweets. No plans. Can't blame Nintendo, they are releasing what they have, even though it is at a snail's pace.

To be fair, that post was talking about Mario Kart, which is a first-party game.
There also have been examples of games being submitted and ready for putting up, with the game just waiting on Nintendo's release schedule.

Yes. The same day as Secret of Mana in fact. :(

Right, Virtual Console seems to be the one area where the old rules still apply; 3rd parties don't get control over release date or price point. Nintendo does.

It's also been confirmed that NA is biggest region for VC sales wise so it's doubly aggravating that we're still so far behind Japan with releases.

One downside to Miiverse are those kids that constantly just spam random stuff to get likes. In most cases posting: "like this" or "follow me". I always get people requesting me to follow them, and then proceed to respond by complaining/crying (in a "i'm pathetic" kind of way) why I'm not following them. Random doodles, dots, spam. Asking me when game [insert game] is coming. I'm not the only one annoyed by some of these users either, know of plenty of developers who just sign at them. All in all, all users who never proceed to even buy the game in question. So makes it even more pathetic to beg a developer to follow you when you care more about your "follow" count then even playing said game..

Love miiverse, esp as a developer to help improve my game. But these kids will drive me nuts!

No kidding. I've never used Facebook or any of those various other social networking services, so the idea of wanting someone to like/follow/share/subscribe/tag/reblog/whatever's hip these days just for the sake of increasing a number, without anything actually meaningful behind it, is just so strange and foreign to me.

My 11 year old daughter is one of those. :)

I love Miiverse but probably not for the reasons she does. What game do you have/coming to the eshop?

Currently have a Tower Defense game out in North America called ZaciSa's Last Stand for $2.99.

Currently working on getting it out in Europe. Though may take me a little bit longer, as just found out that it might cost me around $1000 for the ratings (Pegi/USK) including the apparent bank fees... Talked to someone who just released their game in Europe, and that is what it cost them. Though he did say his game did very well on release in Europe, so he likely made his money back by now. Oh well, pricey or not, getting the process started at least. :)

So I picked up Kirby and A Link Between Worlds at the Best Buy BOGO sale. I'll keep y'all updated on my impressions of the first Zelda game I've played in 10 years and the Kirby game that I confused with Canvas Curse. If I don't like Kirby, I'm gonna trade it in and buy Fire Emblem Awakening.

Quick question y'all. Is 32GB SDHC mem cards still the limit for 3DS? I need upgrade my 4gig card. It is not cutting it anymore. Just got Donkey Kong Country 3D and had to remove tons of games to have space for it.

Nope, just need to format it correctly - as FAT32 as opposed to exFAT.

I have a 64GB one in mine.

It was never the limit. Here's proof of a 128GB card being used.

Taken from GoNintendo.

Just make sure to format it in FAT32.

128GB SD cards have worked for (at least) just under two years.

Yeah, going from the 16GB I had gotten at launch to the 64GB I got was so refreshing, to just be able to put everything I wanted on it and not have to worry about space (for now at least...)

I currently have 242,442 blocks free now =)

Speaking of. My 64 GB micro sd card is full and am needing to go to 128 GB.

Anyone wanting a 64 GB micro as card with adapter for cheap?

I swear digital is the way to go on the 3DS. I have about 15 games on rotation and it's great. Only downer is that eshop games are never on sale.

I'm rocking the 32 GB card myself and I find it to be more than enough space so far.

That's good to hear. Still not completely sold but I still have 4 days left to decide before the promotion runs out.

It's really a terrific game for NES fans. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to pick it up!

Both are great games, and hopefully will be up your alley. I'll be eager to read your Zelda impressions.

As much as I enjoyed soaking away into Mega Ten while the painkillers from the Wisdom Teeth Surgery did there job, I really wish I got Zelda earlier. It's fantastic. The 3D implementation is perfection. The controls are a joy. I played all the GBC and GBA Zeldas and I remember why now. There's a certain joy and simplicity they deliver to me that other adventure games can't. I have fun just kinda roaming around. I can't do that with the 3D Zelda. But yeah, not even to the first dungeon yet. Too busy cutting grass and pots because that even in itself is fun.

I'm gonna spend another hour with Kirby before I report back on that... =§. Let's just say another trip to Target may be in my future to exchange it for Fire Emblem.

While I was waiting for Target Mobile to trade in Tomodachi Life and Pokémon X, I tried them both out for the 30 minutes I had to wait. Tomodachi Life was just the demo and I'm so severely lacking in Mii's on this 3DS I couldn't begin to find maximum amounts of joy in it. Pokémon X, on the other hand, had only a decent first impression. Something was really really off with the movement and I had a hard time adjusting. The character models were a bit... suspect? It's the only accurate feeling word I have right now. But it really grabbed me when I saw the 3D battles and the fact that your starter already knows a Special Attack !! I would have kept it if I wasn't already planning to get the Ruby Remake and I don't want to be spoiled on Pokémon before that happens.

I have to say, though... Bible Adventures was actually fun for an NES game. Also, every protagonist in that game was swole.

Indeed, it really isn't as bad as it's often made out to be. Noah's Ark was pretty fun, running around and finding all the animals and trying to manage the jumps without them dropping. David and Goliath had an adventure sort of feel to it. Baby Moses was a bit more monotonous, but it was still alright.

Plus, it wasn't often that my father bought me a video game without me asking him for it (and even then that didn't happen often), so - hey, extra game!

The most annoying part was putting the game into and taking the game out of the system (especially taking it out), due to the awkward shape of the cartridge.
