I actually bought an action replay and imported the American Brawl because I couldn't wait that long. A friend of mine had his Wii softmodded at the time and he brought it in to college so we could play Brawl but for some reason any water attacks (squirtle, FLUDD) would crash the Wii. I got my copy about a week later and it was amazing.

I don't know if it's because I'm older or if Miiverse just isn't as satisfying but as much as I'm looking forward to the new one I don't think I'd go through the import hassle again.

Oh yeah, Europe got the short end of the stick with release dates for years regarding Nintendo titles. Xenoblade doesn't balance that out at all. It was always a couple of months to over a year wait for a lot titles after they were released in Japan/NA.

Makes sense to me. I'm still debating how many to get. I think I'll probably just end up getting 4 at launch, as I'm rarely going to have that many people over and I can cycle through them so I don't wear out one's joystick too quick.

The general split of the Nintendo fanbase as a whole is skewed pretty heavily to the US, being on GAF probably amplifies this even further (even if it's not nearly as bad as something like GameFAQs).

Do we have anyone planning on doing GAF tournaments once the games out? I'd love to organize one for the Wii U if we've got nothing in the works. If there's a spectator mode, I could record all the matches with my Elgato and upload them for everyone to watch the tournament unfold.
