That's not true. Unless it was ripped improperly (like the Grand Theft Auto Stories games) PSN versions of PSP titles should offer better performance than their UMD counterparts. Your example with WoTL isn't loading but slowdown. That's nothing to do with a disc and everything to do with the way the game was coded. That's why the PSone SNES ports are still janky.

Well, my point is if that game has a 7 seconds loading in their original PSP/PS1 version it will have 7 seconds loading when played in Vita. At least, that's my impression of playing all PSP/PS1 games in my Vita; nary an improvement whatsoever in the loading department.
Not always. Darkstalkers Chaos Tower took 20-25 seconds to load a fight on my PSP. Vita version took about 6 seconds.
O well don't care, have no space for a shit downgraded port.

Just curious, what makes the GTA games improperly ripped? Like what problems does that cause for the games?
Wow, so they gave a date for R&C Collection for tomorrow....and then they decide to delay it (like it wasn't taking long enough to come to NA) to next week....when Last of Us Remastered comes out :l.

. The original was a classic, so seeing it reborn again in HD visuals and with trophy support is really great 
. The fact it is cross-buy with PS3 and Vita is also a really cool touch .
Edit: Regarding the Collections....I think Sony is trying to pull what they did with the PS3 Game Bundles a while back; have all the remasters release in the same day as a 'celebration' or something else :l. I just find it stupid that they are doing this though; if the game is digital only....why bother with the delay? I mean, its not like the game has taken long enough to come here and they don't plan on a retail version, so why not just throw the game up on PSN tomorrow when it has a decent chance of selling some copies rather then next week when the PSN will be flooded with people downloading Last of Us PS4.....

Quick question on PSN free games, when something is made free is it always available if you have the sub? What I mean is I sold my PS3 and there have been some games that became free since. Can I still get them or you need to grab it during the free period?
You need to grab them while they're free. If the games rotated and you didn't get them, you can't get them now.
If you are logged in under your PS+ PSN account and the game is listed as Free with Yellow font, then your good to go
. All you gotta do is go on the PS Store via Web Browser and get your games that way. It is MUCH better to use then the PS3 store .You're talking about PlayStation Plus, correct? If so the games need to be redeemed during the free period. If you don't have your PS3 you can redeem the free games through the Web Store (this is assuming you have access to a web browser).

I'm not an expert, but I believe they feature slowdown not found on the UMDs due to the compression applied to the ISOs. IIRC the Silent Hill PSP games also suffered from this, but good guy Konami had them redo it. I have GTA: VCS on UMD and PSN, the latter is definitely chugging a lot more than it did originally on PSP.

I'm going to guess this means the game isn't cross-buy. Sony needs to get better at communicating these types of details instead of giving us the bare minimum information.
So let me get understand this; this is digital only, has taken almost a month extra to come to NA, got pushed back another week for some unknown reason (maybe getting retail copies ready?), AND it isn't cross-buy?

! If it truly isn't cross-buy, I will get much latter on used or something :l. Between having tons of games to play and being just really irked by Sony's bull-head moves....I can wait on this . I do hope that next week is the REAL release date for this game though; many NA Vita owners would love to have Ratchet 3 on the go

Yes, you can redeem the free Plus games on your PC. If the line up of free games appeals to you, I don't see why you shouldn't go for it.

Oh.... how much will it cost on the PSN?
I don't even have a PS4 and I always clicked purchase on the free PS+ games available so that they'll be waiting there when I get one.
But you should know that you can't play the games you get from PS+ if your sub expire, because the way you worded your question suggested to me that you didn't know this.
Typically around the end of the current month. So August's games will probably be announced next week.

The R&C Collection is a decent port but the decision to map strafing to the rear touchpad in the manner that they did so was absolutely moronic to put it lightly. It's essentially unusable as it is, for me anyway.
For Up Your Arsenal, you have to swipe from the bottom to the top, then halfway down again, and keep your fingers pressed right in the middle of the rear touchpad, which makes it extremely awkward to control movement at the same time.
Other than that, it's pretty good. Sound cuts a bit here and there and the colours don't seem as vivid as they did on the original collection but that could just be my memory playing tricks on me.

Guys, if I buy Borderlands 2 second hand, I won't be able to play the DLCs provided the person that sells me the game has used them. Is this correct or not?

Has this been mentioned yet? Phantasy Star Nova Japanese demo in August and Famitsu info on the games classes translated by siliconera. Can't wait to try it, i'm itching for my Phantasy Star fix.

I'm not sure about the US PSN but i'm prettysure on the PAL one the extra content isn't available for sale without getting the game, which is odd considering there's always going to be pre-owned copys out in the wild.
