Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 10: Against the Odds, We Choose to Hype!

Bring on the easter eggs!
Speaking of, I hope they make the Smash Taunts a bit easier to pull off this time. It'd be nice if they omitted the little thing where the character needed to stand idle for a few seconds before the Taunt actually activated. As they were I only ever really saw them when I was deliberately going in to do Smash Taunts in training mode or whatnot - it'd be cool if they could viably be activated in a regular FFA battle.

I suppose that's kind of unnecessary, so here's a question: do you suppose this is more Sector Z/Corneria or more Venom? Haven't seen Venom in a while...

I wonder if this Great Fox stage will provide the hilarity that is standing on the main cannons when they are charging = instafucked.

Also, I hope it's Sector Z styled. I really miss that stage.

It'll be like a backwards Corneria/ Sector Z. The hyperspace lines would be weird if from the front plus the wording of running on top. On the wings is not on top

My favorite part of Smash 4 is when Shulk is revealed.

Actually, I have kind of been disappointed with the stuff that has been revealed so far (this is just my opinion, and I could easily understand why someone wouldn't be disappointed in the game so far).

1. Their haven't been any character reveals that really excite me.
- I have never played an AC game, so Villager doesn't do much for me.
- Wii Fit Trainer is very silly and totally unexpected, but she didn't look fun to play as, and she brings us a franchise that I don't really care that much about (Wii Fit + is fun, but it's still Wii Fit).
- I have only played a few of the Battle Network games, so I have very little connection to MegaMan.
- I like Rosalina, but not enough to get hyped for her.
- Never played a Punch-Out! game, so I don't really care about Little Mac.
- Greninja is unexpected, but it isn't a Pokemon that I am attached to.
- Mii Fighter just isn't from a franchise that I care about.
- Never really cared that much about Pacman.
- I really like FE: Awakening, but Lucina is kind of a boring character. I like Robin the most out of any new character, but I wouldn't care if he/she weren't on the roster.
-Palutena is kind of worthless when she isn't talking or making jokes, and I have never really wanted to play as her.

Overall, the character look well made and really fun to play as, but they don't bring along many new items, songs, or stages that I care about. TBH, their aren't that many realistic newcomers that I really want, but if Neku, a Pokemon that I love, and Shulk are newcomers, then I would be totally satisfied.
Neku won't happen because of Squeenix

2. I haven't heard much about the music, and very few of the songs that I have heard really jump out at me. If someone could link to clips of some great new remixes from the game, I would greatly appreciate it.

3. I guess that's all, but music and character selection are two really important things to me.

I know that I will end up loving the game, and I will probably play each version for several hundred hours, but I am not nearly as hyped for this game as I was for Brawl.

Maybe we will get Krystal from Starfox Assault

as an AT :p

Considering Krystal would have an unique moveset because of her staff, it would be such a waste of potential for a character if it's just an AT.

I know most of you guys hate her, but at least see her first in action before judging.

I really want her in Smash Bros...

I'd like Krystal, to be honest. It's nothing creepy. I think she legitimately looks cool. But more importantly she could use a staff-based move-set. Palutena does this to a degree, but Krystal could go all-out while offering a 100% fresh and original Star Fox newcomer.

If they -really- wanted to go all-out, they'd incorporate Tricky to make her a mixed staff/puppet user. Trust me, I hate that lil' shit as much as the next guy, but think about it: She could send him out nipping at people's heels while she smash attacks someone with her staff.

I dunno. I just think she'd add some variety. Although it'd be yet another blue character.

Finally someone that understands me! :'D

Honestly, Krystal don't disturb me (I like her starfox assault design), and with desire of Sakurai to have so many waifu, everything can happen lol.

Only if her final smash forces each of the other players to do the Starfox Adventures test of strength, and failing the test causes them to die twice
you can't beat the test in the first place

I understand those feels. When you don't see that character that basically seals the deal for you in terms of hype, you're a little disappointed even though you feel the game will be amazing.

Should I make a thread? I want to make a thread. omg guise my starfox fanboyism is showing, I was waiting for Sakurai to reveal the starfox stage and was hoping it was the assault great fox which is the best version so far.

OH MAN. I had to have a buddy do that part, the kind of guy Japan would label a "gorilla." I really hate Rare for the various pace-killing parts they couldn't resist adding to the game. If they had eschewed those bits, reduced the collecting and simply focused on deeper combat, Adventures could've been something special...

Now just imagine what the other old stages will look like. The Fountain of Dreams is going to look ridiculous.

I wouldn't but I've also never seen the point to all the AT threads people make.

Krystal's gone bros. Miyamoto's going to look back and realize what a mistake turning Dinosaur Planet into a Star Fox game was, and retcon every non Star Fox 64 game with the Wii U installment.
Don't wake me from my dream.
