Mine, and everyone else I talked to has been pretty bad with the game. I never got to play the multiplayer of it though as I couldn't get people to play it with me. I am sure it is better than 64, even for someone that doesn't like the normal game, just because there was probably way more to do. That said the controls...the controls of Assault were so bad.
I am already an oddball as my favorite Star Fox game is Command, so...

Man, if you guys like Star Fox Assault's multiplayer (and I agree, it's awesome), you'd LOVE Warhawk on PS3. It's basically that with maps 10x bigger, Capture the Flag and the ability to do four-player splitscreen in a 32-player match (so mixed local/online).
Really makes me want to see Star Fox take its multiplayer to the next level.

If its anything like Nintendo's recent games, I am sure the multiplayer will be great. Mario Kart 7 and 8, Pokemon and Kid Icarus Uprising are pretty good so sure.
