After playing an unhealthy number of hours of both, I think i prefer League of Legends. I just find myself having more fun when i play it. Shoemaker have mercy upon me.

I'm in the same boat. While I still think the highest of highs (comeback after an hour where you kill 3 of the opponent's team by yourself) still lies with Dota, LoL is simply less punishing, which lessens the pressure on me and overall I have more fun.

So I guess Rewatch podcast is already dead? It's been 2 weeks since the last episode.

Likely waiting a bit longer until the Max stuff blows over completely. Think he mentioned around the time it happened that he was taking a break from the internet for a little while.

Patrick sent me a pm after I criticized him not branching out on Worth Playing wondering if I had some things he should be looking after. Thumbs up to him actually going after criticism and trying to better his writing! It also made me realize how full of shit I am as I didn't have any better links. :lol

Yup, that sounds like Patrick. Don't enjoy everything he does, but you can't help but like a dude who is so active in bettering himself and embracing critics (even when they don't deserve it). Pretty sure he even PM'd funkystudent once too.

You can never question Patrick's drive for self improvement. Failure is part of the creative process. Acknowledging what is wrong is part of becoming better, no matter what you do.

Finally listened to the second half of the Bombcast. All in all, one of the best episodes in recent memory.

- Samantha was awesome
- N64 talk was great
- Dan's bar story
- Drew's best bombcast, yet - fantastic performance
- Bradcast is Bestcast
- Everyone was having a good time

Drew was on fire. Samantha was great, her and Dan brought a ton of positive energy to the room, Brad couldn't afford to be sleepy because of his hosting duties... fantastic show.

I remember hearing Jeff and the guys talking about how great the TI3 coverage was last year, especially in regards to Kaci Aitchison, so with TI4 going on, I decided to go back and see for myself. It really is great work. Watching these videos is making me want to get into Dota 2 for the first time. Hopefully there will be a nice compilation of the best TI4 stuff soon.

I don't know why there's a gif of JP LeBreton doing that, but boy am I glad there is.

Oh my god, I'm catching up on UPF and Drew is making me lose it.

"Have you not noticed the two suns before, Dan? Never eaten mayonnaise, never noticed the two suns in the sky..."

Very random question but does anyone have a link to when the crew was back with GameSpot and they unboxed and played with both the PS3 and Wii on launch day?

I'm glad Patrick moved his 'Worth' stuff to Monday because I kept missing it on Friday not having a lot of time to watch / read stuff like that over the weekend.

You should try Smite. It's basically a faster paced LoL.

I agree completely. This episode was on another level of charming. Samantha was wonderful, Brad was a surprisingly good host, Dan proves once again to be a great addition to the crew, and more-expressive-Drew is a pleasure. The most I've enjoyed listening to a podcast, period, in a very long time.

In fact, it's criminal that it took me so long to do this, but I am now a premium member for the first time.

Did they say anything about whether they'll record the podcast today (Tuesday)? Brad comes back today, would be cool to get his impressions of TI4.

edit: The Daily Dota crew (and resident GB artist, Fobwashed, and Brad's college roomate...?) minus Brad interviewed at TI4:

Rewatching the PSO2 TNT (since I want to try it myself), and Brad going "good god, man" at Jeff's mere 30h in that game without Jeff being able to bring up Dota in return was kinda funny.

A Quicklook for Ghostship Afterwhatever? Oh I hope this is a GBEAST video. This game looks just horrible.

True. Man, remember Starcraft?

I always though it was hilarious that Brad is the only one who really get's into some games yet he is the one with the "is bad at games" stigma.

Speaking of hours spent on games, it's funny to think that it wasn't long ago that Brad and others would mention how they're not kids any more and can't afford to spend 40+ hours on one game. Off the top of my head I'm sure they mentioned this in relation to Dark Souls (before any of them really got into it) and more recently Ni No Kuni. Turns out they could find the time; the real reason was probably not having a game they wanted to spend 40+ hours on.

Dota is more than game though, it's a lifestyle!
