Time to tip the scale!

I saw a thread over on Smashboards about having Morgan as a clone or alt to Robin.

Morgan is Robin's child from Awakening, and I had no clue he or she could become the most powerful unit in your game (well according to that thread--I also suck at Fire Emblem but play on the hardest modes to punish myself). I married Tharja and mine, and she is still fairly powerful, maybe I'll go with Lucina on another playthrough (lol stay losing CHROM).

Anyway, I don't think we'll see Morgan in Smash in any form really, maybe a palette swap at most.

Yea Morgan is a beast would be very interesting..probably a shorter Robin maybe if they used her/him as an alt? heh, but I'm perfectly fine with how Robin turned out so a pallet swap would be nice. Only if we could have 5 FE characters. :3

The main issue against Morgan is that he/she basically has as their default costume the same outfit as Robin. So, you'd pretty much have a slightly shorter headswap. That's really not good material for a different character or costume in a fighting game. If at least Morgan's strategist outfit had a different color pallet in the original game, there'd be more to work with.

well maybe one of the Robin colors can have a Morgan lookalike, cause it does exist ingame

This is their official artwork.

Ye they do look very similar to Robin wardrobe-wise. Red Haired Morgan is the best though.

NO YOU FOOL YOU INJECTED YOURSELF

CLOUD IS DEAD

Two situations that popped in my head:

1) Wait, wha.... *foams from the mouth*

2) You sound like the boil on that kid's face from Fairly Oddparents. Oh man, how I loved that show when I was younger.

This was hard hard for me to watch. I was at EVO, sitting almost right at the front. And while I love to watch Axe's pikachu, SW is from my area and is part of our local melee scene. that was a heartbreaker.

I always cheer for low tiers over locals. It's a tough call though.

I like you, you have good taste.

*waits for Moonlight to agree cause Anna*

lol. I guess I can thank Sully for that.

IF Morgan was a clone of Robin I would probably give them the ability to also use axes and lances for their smashes as a way to show their first class can vary by parent.

Now, that's a different matter. If they include some hair styles of the smaller or bigger avatars, rather than just the default height ones, the one identical to Morgan's seems a likely choice. It'd keep the same size as the standard avatar though, and it'd likely still be "Robin", not Morgan.

In case you didn't see it, Tom McShea of Gamestop recently played a build of Smash Wii U and gave people 5 reasons why more of the 'same' is good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0SvjuVbwLU&list=UUbu2SsF-Or3Rsn3NxqODImw

I'll list them for you.

1. Six years is a long time. (Referring to the length of release between Brawl and Smash 4).

2. There's nothing like it. (Playstations All Stars, Teenage Mutant Smash Up, Onimusha Brawlers are poor copies.) Also an argument against changing the formula too much.

3. Balance Perfection. (This one is the most lol.) He claims that Smash 4 is built for people who love balance, specifically saying that Nintendo is making this game for the Fighting Game Community. Obviously, the FGC, and specifically the Melee community would disagree at the moment. =P

4. The wrath of the scorned. Talking about how Brawl was bad, and this is Nintendo's opportunity to fix it.

5. Consumer demand. People like Smash for what it is. AKA, not making a Power Stone clone for the next Smash.

And I just realized after typing all of that, there is a Gamespot article that he also wrote on the subject. Doh. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/five-reasons-super-smash-bros-doesnt-need-to-chang/1100-6421185/
