Finally downloading the Beta! I was part of the F&F Alpha GAF crew. Good times!

I applied to East NA 4 as well! PSN ID: Jaklap1. Display name is JackEtc, I believe.

I haven't started playing yet, but I haven't been able to set DestinyGAF as my PS Clan. I get an "We've encountered an error, please try again later.(3)" message. Is this because I haven't actually played the Beta yet?

OK, since East NA 4 is now full, I applied to East NA 5.

I also have a pending application to the primary DestinyGAF clan.

You're supposed to be in main gaf anyways. Did you set your system clan? If so, then that is a Bungie server thing and you'll have to wait a bit.

The Bungie site seems weird right now.
 
  • Why are there two Central NA groups? The first one still has space in both of its clans.
  • Is the first NA Central group not in the DestinyGAF alliance?
  • Why not rename the group to "DestinyGAF NA Central"? With the way clan names get cut off in-game it'd be better to see "DestinyGAF NA" rather than "DestinyGAF Ce"

  • Because we cap at 75ish no matter what. We had a difficult time explaining the subclans in the first place, and telling Xbox and PS people to join different clans at different times would be too confusing/complicated for some people.You would be surprised how many don't read and don't do all of the stuff we ask. Not all the members of central (and other groups) are in a clan because some people didn't bother to read and set their clan, neither will end up being full anyways though.
  • We are still working on the alliances and not everybody is in yet. We have until September.
  • I have asked the admins to do this for the East and Central (NA before region) and they have not done it. The names do not cut off always either, that is a bug.

I imagine an oversight from the EU admins. Should happen as soon as they get back on :)

I've went ahead and changed it to NA Central 2, forgot to ever do it. Might as well do it for Central 1, I think I have that power there as well.

We have 86 or so members in central 1. The cap for playstation is set at 75 members an 75 for xbox. Until everybody sets their clan as either xbox or playstation I can't accept more members, because trend right now has shown that like usually there are like 5-10 members for xbox and the rest are for playstation. If everybody or the grand majority had set their clan by now I could reopen the group for xbox members, but I can't risk accepting others into Central 1 and having some of the ones already in there get shafted because they didn't set their clan before I let it new members. Central 2 is still accepting applications and it is filling up slowly so there will be plenty of spots for playstation for now, people just have to set their clans asap as it is making it harder for admins to know when to allow others into the groups.

edit: we currently have 66 members in playstation and 6 members in xbox. Chances are that some will be left out of playstation but once we hit 75 (heck even 74) I'll open applications for xbox members as there will be no fear of playstation people taking spots of members already there

Unfortunatly for the first EU group Coen has been absent, and as only the founder can accept the alliance invitation it hasn´t been done yet, i´m hoping he gets on soon. :/
 
I have no idea how this works.

I was accepted into Destiny GAF but have no idea which part of the clan im in. I have zero mention of any clans in my BETA char.

It´s pretty easy everyone need to join the DestinyGAF main group, but at the same time need to apply to their region specific group as that is where you will set your clan.

Also EVERYONE with issues on their clan tag not showing, please leave the clan, not the group and after set your clan again and it should update ingame, mine was for some reason showing DestinyGAF EU, so i left the DestinyGAF clan and just set it again after a little bit and bam updated to the correct one, cannot guarantee it will work for all but it just did for me.
