Almost unthinkable that Encarta used to retail for $90.

I definitely had that disc.
To date myself further, we also had a set of Funk and Wagnalls encyclopedia books that we bought separately at the grocery store every week for about $5 each.
I remember the changeover in school around 1995ish in how we'd cite electronic items like Encarta or websites for reports (but, we were only allowed 1 electronic source) and there wasn't a process of how to do it yet, so, we just made it up.

People actually paid that? Everyone i knew stole a copy from school. IT manager would have a fit trying to keep an eye on them.

I just randomly checked twitch and noticed a Speedrunners stream with a bunch of new characters and stages? They should play that again sometime.
Also, I totally had some version of Encarta. I did not pay 90 bucks for it.

Given that real encyclopedias at the time were literally hundreds of dollars, $90 is a steal. And it was MULTI-MEDIA, to boot!

Oh man, tell me about it. I had one AP English teacher that was real anal about that for whatever reason. I still remember the Dewey Decimal system and all that crap. Encarta and Netscape was a godsent in my senior year.

Fuck, I started to watch like the first 15 min of that dota unraveling because I was interested in just what exactly all the little bullshit they charged for was and just hearing them fawn over the stuff and talk about how much money was spent makes me dislike dota even more...

I wonder if they'll QL TLOU: Remastered. If they do, you can bet it'll be Brad (maybe with Dan), since Jeff was the only one at GB who didn't seem to care much for TLOU.
