Announcing new ports just like that, lol. I suppose that's one way of doing things.

To be honest that is exactly how they should be announced. Rerelease of old games in another platform shouldn't even be news. Original content is king, especially new ip which is in short supply this gen.

Maybe they do have a playable demo but are only using it for there conference? I mean, the game looks to be a very open game (with you being able to explore a big island and all), so they must only want people to experience the most polish section of this world (and most likely don't have that completely down yet).

I think a live demo of this might be at the show but not on the show-floor, so while we may not play the game, at least we can see the game in action .

I hope that's the case, too, I would love for that to be one of the big pieces of the conference. I really enjoyed Deadlight, so I hope they take the time they need to make this game work. Here's to hoping!
