SDCC2014 | Nintendo Challenge: Live @ SDCC & Smash 3DS Tournament

They are. I have seen people here on GAF on Smashboards hating the 3DS version of the game for the dumbest reasons.

Well, screw them. This game looks awesome and a portable way to play Smash. Though out of curiosity, what are the other complaints they have?

I'm going to assume that this is all interference. KI:U local multiplayer worked great.
It's interference. They have the 3DS's lined up and that sort of set-up is very prone to interference. This game uses synchronized netcode so interference = the laggies. In games with unsynchronized netcode, like Pokemon, you tend to get the disconnecties instead.

Other 3DS and DS games with synchronized netcode have the same issue. I've found that the best way to solve this issue is to have everyone huddle together and point their (3)DS's at each other.
