I'm sure they've talked about on giant bomb at some point I just forgot when
199 pieces for $198.00
This guy is pushing the 200th piece like it's knife jesus
what is this knife show
This is definitely not a problem. Especially if they throw in a genuine Japanese katana if you order now now now!I feel like the problem with watching those shows for an extended period of time is suddenly, it seems like a great idea to buy a knife.

Listening to Danny interact with Dan during the cricket quick look makes them my new favorite duo, despite this being the only thing I've heard them both in simultaneously. Danny is the best.
Hello!
You're receiving this e-mail because you wrote in to one of Giant Bomb's e-mail addresses at some point in the past. Congratulations! That means you totally rate!
This e-mail is being sent to let you know that we're getting very close to the beta launch of giantbomb.com -- if you want to be extra-certain that you secure your username of choice, you should start taking occasional looks at the site to see if it's up yet. You will not receive a second e-mail from us, as we're solely focused on the site itself.
So what will you be able to do on Giant Bomb?
Explore a database that already contains...
Entries for over 72,000 releases.
Pages for nearly 90,000 people involved in the creation of video games.
Almost 600 character pages!
Something like 580 pages for gaming franchises!
Dude, I don't know, how about I just write "and much, much more" here and we move on?
Don't forget, you'll be able to edit and add to all of these things!
And of course, we'll have message boards. Tens of thousands of message boards! Way too many message boards! Everything from the PlayStation 3 to hamburgers will have a message board associated with it. In fact, every single page in the database, including consoles, franchises, games, objects, characters, people, and concepts will all have a friendly message board right at the bottom. But don't worry about getting lost or missing out on a conversation. Messages from all boards are easily found in our forum index.
Then there's the same style of award-winning* editorial content from myself, Ryan, Brad, and Vinny. With the site up and running, we'll have even more time to provide reviews, commentary, and previews of the games you care about. Or, at least, the games _we_ care about.
* - not actually award-winning
Look, I could go on all day about this stuff, but I'll save some of it for the welcome letter that you'll find on giantbomb.com once we've launched. Thanks for taking an interest in us, and we think you'll go totally nuts when you see what we've been working on. I know we're all going totally nuts thinking about what you'll do with it once it's available.
xoxo,
Jeff Gerstmann

I was sorting through some old emails the other day, and look what I found:
I got this almost exactly 6 years ago now (20/7/2008). It's fun to think about how the site has changed since those early days (visual design, quest system) and the bizarre stuff they filmed in Sausalito - it was just so different than what any other established sites were doing at the time. The operation also felt pretty scrappy in the early days, so I'm happy the guys have made it this long!
It's hard to believe it's been 6 years already. I still remember the early days of the site when the first piece of content that drew me to GB was a Metal Gear Solid 4 spoiler cast. I was listening to some old 1UP podcasts on This Year Collection the other day and it occurred to me that what I think of as the "glory days" of 1UP only really lasted for 2 years - 2007 and 2008. The first big round of firings was at the end of 2008 (plus many people left of their own accord) and things weren't the same after that. So all of my fond memories of that site come from a relatively short period, and Giantbomb has kept things running for about three times that long already, with more to come. I do miss the "guerrilla video games coverage" feel of the site in the beginning though.I got this almost exactly 6 years ago now (20/7/2008). 88What does, "Fuck this" as a review score work out to on the Metacritic scale?
Listening to some older Bombcast out of boredom, man this is amazing

How Jeff could read that without even cracking up a little bit is beyond me.

*2006-2008
all of the best shows had hit their stride by mid-2006, if not their peak quite yet. but yeah, the layoffs in Jan 2009 were the hard dropoff for sure.
didn't they have a bunch of people over to play dota one night?
Hmn, The House of the Dead: Overkill?Blue Estate reminded me of WET. I kinda liked WET, even though it had many problems. I wish a game could get the Grindhouse style down - I feel I would enjoy that.
Hey guys. Monthly check in out of the loop post. So what should I check out?
Skimming the last few pages I'm guessing the TMNT quick look is a great one.

Yeah, the search function is a little wonky for finding the Daily Dota videos, but most of them (with very few exceptions) should be listed under the Dota 2 Videos section. If you're not a subscriber, you can check the "giantbomb" Twitch archives for free Twitch VODs, but that's a much hairier proposition.
the first stop for any dota 2 videos should be the neogaf vs giantbomb matches.
You really think you can discourage me from writing a 21st Century Bible this easily? Think again.Humour is real hard, you guys.
