Since it's a F2P game, seems all scenarios are managed by some form of master server. Seemed to me like there's just a LOT of latency, probably due to everyone discovering this game and jumping right in.
If they managed to set up a game, I wonder how hard it would be to get a GAF game going. I guess choosing the premium scenarios facilitates the matchmaking.
Hm, I was referring to actions like "Slap" and "I Want You". Not sure it had anything to do with latency since it only stopped working towards the end (and even then, he could use some stuff). So maybe a) you can't use those actions (although why would you have something like "slap" then) or b) Vinny's game just got overloaded with all the objectives on the side and the role updates and straight up stopped working properly.

Jeff's hate for House of the Dead: Overkill makes me really sad. One of my favorite gun games, amazing hit reactions, good length, great bosses, and I thought it was hilarious although obviously that point is a bit more subjective.

That was easily the best quick look they've ever done.
It's definitely up there. Pure magic.
If I had to pick one QL as my favourite, it would probably be Ride to Hell: Retribution. But both Don Bradman and Velvet Sundown are up there with the best of them (TMNT too).

IIRC that was a QL that really annoyed me. They didn't even bother messing around with the combo + scoring system for cash and upgrades (i don't think they ever broke a 5 combo), and Jeff spent the entire time whining that the Wiimote isn't exactly like a light gun (even though those HOTD Wii games actually had a setup where you could calibrate it to be just like a lightgun) so the game must be bad.
Anyway, Velvet Sundown is amazing but free players don't currently have text to speech!!! (also I don't know how they managed to get a group game going, there's no apparent option on the menu unless that's also premium)

and i think they are the only paid members playing, so it wasn't a custom match, they were just the only premium members playing

There's a message in the menu saying that free players don't currently have it until they fix the servers.

It looked like they didn't have a formal group, they just all had premium and since it seems like no one actually pays for it, they were all in the same game.

My guess is they played at a time with low population and they all made sure to be premium and queued up at the same time. Maximized odds of being in the same party. That may also be why Dan wasn't in the first scenario since it didn't match him with the others.
Yeah, that's what it looked like.
Also, they've had problems with the text to speech stuff for a few days now. I guess launching on steam + Giant Bomb hyping the game will do that to a small team with probably not the best technology. I can easily see this game being picked up by Youtube personalities too (right now only a dude with an annoying voice named penguinz0 seems to play it among the 500k+ subscriber Youtube people). Someone like Super Best Friends/Two Best Friends play it soon since they're big fans of GB.

Game 1: Everybody went AFK and I just gave drugs to everyone. Me and the last player left just did drugs off the bow of the ship until it ended. Mission successful.
Game 2: I gave money and a beer to a hot chick in an auction for oil secrets which I used to save an oil rig. Ingmar was so destroyed by this failure that he went AFK. I nearly got all of the signatures for my whale petition, except for Ingmar and Boyle (which might have been a glitch, because Boyle said he signed it).
Game 3: I gave booze to everyone and ignored all of the oil shit. I handed my valuables to random people after being blessed by Malik. In an attempt to get more aura power, I meditated extensively with Malik and Lora. Nobody else joined the cult so we never got to kill ourselves and go into space on a comet.
Game 4: I wanted to try playing with Zeliard but no friend joining. Everyone went AFK or wasn't interested in actually playing. Quit early (there is no quit scenario option, you just have to quit to desktop and if you reload the game then you are immediately sent back into the last game you were part of if it's still running). I did manage to adopt an orphan and get gay married to a drug dealer, in exchange for drugs.

Karma is very real in this. I tried to screw over my friends at Explon in an attempt to get more money so I could buy back the data Alex the god damn thief had stolen from me, but Boyle was too fucking stupid to understand anything I was asking and Alex just tased me again.
