Toki Tori 2+ if you haven't played it yet. Absolutely fantastic game. Sort of a metroidvania style open world puzzle adventure game. There's also about 20-30 hours of content easily.I buy lots of Nintendo games, but never touched the estore very much. Picked up Pushmo World this week and I am loving it. Just going though it really quickly. Any puzzle type games you guys would recommend after it? I am thinking about Armillo, but before I spend the money wanted to know if there something else I should pick up first.
Is Toki Tori HD still $1.99? I can't recommend it highly enough. It is puzzling bliss.

,Hmm, if the multiplayer is sub-par I can safely pass. Will wait for GAF impressions.

Bombing Bastards is the worst game I've ever downloaded from the e-shop. Horrible sluggish controls, the bombs take forever to blow up, the enemies in the single player have clairvoyant "perfect" AI, the music is all public domain crap....I played to world 2 and a bit of the anemic 5 map multiplayer and deleted it with great happiness.

No big loss if they don't imo, RBA is a pretty janky platformer. I could go for the Pop'n Twinbee shooter though, or the Parodius games if they come. And if they do come it better be the 60Hz versions.Hoping Pop'n Twinbee comes out in the US. Considering we're getting Mysterious Murasame Castle next week, perhaps this means we'll see more import games again. Though I wonder if we'd get the JPN version or EU version, as it seems there was a few differences between the two.
I still want Sim City SNES to come back. Also Tetris Attack and Nintendo World Cup in the west. Not Nintendo. Developed by TOSE, published by Tonkin House in Japan. Nintendo picked it up for US/Europe.
Heck if things which you would think are pretty much Nintendo like Yoshi's Cookie are extinct (not just delisted like DKC trilogy, if you delete Yoshi's Cookie that is it and system transfers warn that Yoshi's Cookie can not be redownloaded) I wouldn't hold hope of Super Tennis ever coming out.
Speaking of endangered species, how much longer will the Super Star Wars trio have?
Just a shame that some of the Parodius games aren't available digitally even in Japan. Sexy Parodius & the other PS1 one isn't on JP PSN, & even the Super Famicom one isn't on the JPN VC.sörine;123009898 said:No big loss if they don't imo, RBA is a pretty janky platformer. Nope not yet, if ever. I doubt Nintendo's too interested in licensing anything from EA at this point.Sim City SNES is one of my favorites. Did it ever get added to Wii U VC?
Yeah it's odd that none of the FC, SFC, PCE or GB Parodius games ever came to the Japanese Virtual Consoles. Only the MSX original ever did. And nothing at all for PSN.Just a shame that some of the Parodius games aren't available digitally even in Japan. But yeah, hoping the Pop'n Twinbee shmup comes over as well.
You're probably thinking of Star Parodier, a shmup made by Hudson Soft that was taken down from the Wii VC in March.I think I've seen Parodius in the past on the Wii VC? And later seen a notice that it was taken down. I might be confusing it was something similar, though.

I just want some damn N64 games on the Wii U. Having the likes of Ocarina or Majora or Star Fox or Mario 64 with gamepad play would be pretty cool.
They're handled by different divisions at least so hopefully it's still in the works.I'm really skeptical at this point that we'll ever see them, especially with the focus on GBA and DS games coming to Wii U VC. And to think not that long ago I thought we might even see GCN games on VC.

That is good to know, thank you. My fingers are still crossed for it to happen, I'm just not 100% expecting it as I was previously.
For pre-n64 games I am more understanding because it is extremely murky to know all of the rights holders. Granted I am sure there are situations where things are sticky, but honestly this is the biggest hold up to getting old games on things like VC.
It isn't a technical issue, but who has the rights to publish it, who is paying for it, and who gets a cut of the revenues.
This isn't an issue for anything that Nintendo published [outside of Goldeneye]. It's completely inexcusable that there aren't any N64 games on Wii U VC and it's very worrying of the fact that all my games in Wii Mode may or may not be carried over without a paper trail that I previously did buy them.
So why Nintendo makes an emulator for every game they releases instead of making one for the entire platform? The performance issues are so big that they must do it? Lots of people play in emulators on phones and PCs and aren't so concerned with it, and I woudn't mind trade a little less performance for a greater catalog of games.
Ok, I confess, I don't own and don't want to buy a Wiimote just to access the Wii VC
If I had to guess, the reason they do it this way is because even though a lot of emulator code can be reused from one Virtual Console title to the next, they still need manuals and still need to go through the same QA process as every other title that winds up on the shop. And Nintendo just isn't devoting the resources to it like they did with the Wii.So why Nintendo makes an emulator for every game they release instead of making one for the entire platform? Check out the development history of BSNES
Developing an emulator that works "accurately" for all games for a system is incredibly involved and resource-intensive.
And while "lots of people play in emulators on phones and PCs and aren't so concerned with it," those are (generally) free emulators with no real expectations.
Not justifying the approach Nintendo is taking fully, but them doing a "phone-quality emulator" definitely wouldn't go over well.
You're forgetting the fact that they already did it once on the Wii. Nintendo's treatment of VC ouput is completely awful.

Do you have a source for this? Not that I don't believe you, but I'd never heard that about NST before. (It might also explain why NST both does nothing and releases no N64 games.)
Wait, so are DS games actually coming to the eShop?
Yes. Brain Age is already available.

I'm honestly pretty surprised it is taking so long for Zero Mission to come out on NA eShop...I mean, Japan doesn't even like Metroid, why not release it here first?

Is 2048 the original and wildly popular mobile game?

2) Nintendo already experimented with launching a digital store pre-loaded with legacy content (the 3DS eShop had 300+ DSiWare games day one). Maybe it didn't gave them the results they wanted and they only really see sales when games are "launched".
While they already did it on the Wii, the Wii U VC has a lot of new stuff, like digital manuals, Miiverse, gamepad support, etc. I'm a scrub and appreciate save-states myself.
Wait, did Wii VC games not have save states? (I totally thought they did.)
