I've played this encounter several times in tlou but even still, why doesn't brad go for the guy thats directly in-front of him. holy jesus.

and RDR is the best game of the generation.

Holy

The only fun I got out of that game was climbing onto a house and killing everything in sight until I was gunned down.

I thought GUN was better.

Yeah.

GUN.

Quit acting like that's a bold statement. GUN was a dope game. You got some crazy fucking cannon gun and an armored tank of a horse when you 100%'d it.

"Who knew this could be so fun?"

Lots of us Brad. It's always great to see someone discover a fun multiplayer. It gets pretty tense down the road when you're trying to get enough kills to feed 80 dudes on week 8 or repelling an invasion that can kill of a percentage of your group.

Always stay low and stick with another player. Grab everything and save the easiest challenges (you'll know what I mean) for the last couple of weeks of surviving.
I found Red Dead Redemption to be really boring, am i a bad person?
Nope, it was a real slog to get through Mexico. It picked up near the end but I definitely didn't take to it like a lot of gaffers did.

Dan is so much more enthusiastic than Jeff which is refreshing but Jeff's humour is irreplaceable, he gets too much hate these days.

Meh, he doesn't get much hate. There's just the usual "Jeff's too cynical/negative" comments, which have been happening for years. I think most people realize that he's the heart of GB.

Avatar quote etc.

Gun was great. I remember a buddy of mine having trouble with one of the early levels so I beat it for him.

Then I proceeded to finish the whole game.

RDR is excellent.

But if we're talking about opinions Jeff has that are right, fuck Metroid Prime. The single most overrated game of all time.

How ever they are recording quicklooks in, the dark area, don't show up well. It looks too dark in the QL for TLOU and the opening of Firefall QL

Not surprised one bit at Brad doing pretty well in multiplayer Last of Us. He said he played the game on hard, and a fair amount of the skills you learn playing single player translate to the multiplayer.

Preach it, brother.

Can we all at least agree that RDR has one of the best late title cards? Because it absolutely does.

Yeah, no doubt. I recently played through the game again and holy shit does it still hold up visually too. Just a beautiful game.

And that ride into Mexico, man...

And please don't resurrect the tired old "when will Jeff play TLOU?!?!" argument. That got so fucking played out the last time around.

It's mostly on youtube, but I guess that's just hateful regardless.

Nope I liked it as well.

daydreaming pls

That's your first mistake, reading Youtube comments. I imagine a lot of vile shit there every time Jeff is negative towards a game. But that's to be expected. Seems like it's mostly assholes commenting on GB videos on YT. Try reading the comments on the clip someone uploaded of Jeff's rant against NiGHTS into Dreams.

We need more Western-inspired videogames, period.

Law of the West, Gun.Smoke, Sunset Riders, Wild Guns, Red Dead, Gun, CoJ Gunslinger, ???

I had a shitload of trouble with the very encounter Brad was talking about in the TLOU QL on Hard as well but I stuck with it and after that I never had nearly as much trouble again.

Also his Yoshi rants.

Also his Yoshi rants.

Haha, yeah, that's true.

I remember Jeff saying that he got a lot more hate back in the day though (maybe on a Jar time?) than he does now, mostly because his position as a review editor at Gamespot. He got a bunch of death threats, and if IIRC Sega fans were the worst by a mile.

Did Patrick's "so very Patrick" article disappear from the tracker and not get posted?

I'm going to guess it was about the Kardashian game making mucho dinero and a bunch of other indie devs working so hard, so very long, on their amazing artistic iOS game for $5 that has sold poorly/will sell poorly and man what an industry we live in huh?

Here's hoping I'm wrong.

It's an extented interview with the maker of The Room (which sold very well). I think he said so on Friday's Bombin'.

Stranger's Wrath!

Twilight Princess has that fantastic Western-inspired archery segment, too.

Yeah, I left out some titles, of course. Not to mention the games that have a western-y plot in terms of structure and themes without portraying the time period itself. I was wondering more about upcoming stuff, though, keep that train
robbery
rolling, you know?

Looking at upcoming, I see a Halfway QL.I forgot that even came out. I wonder how it fared? The publisher is getting major hassle from all fronts these days due to the lack of support around Starbound. I wonder why a dev would even hook up with them, as they are basically Hitler right now to a lot of people.

So Starbound is struggling that much to get out of Early Access? I haven't been following that game for a good while now.

I wanna see Adult Swim put together a more fully-fledged version of Westerado. That game is great.
