I hate when it's cool to dislike video games. I remember really enjoying The Last Of Us and Bioshock: Infinite before the internet told me they were awful video games somehow.

I don't give a damn if it's cool, Bioshock Infinite is a game that fails in every way once you get beyond "Looks more or less pretty most of the time". That's a great definition of an awful game to me. Sorry you're so easily swayed that other people's opinions impact what you think.

Yeah I've seen your posts in some of the tLoU threads :/. I'm really disappointed Jeff can't manage to finish the game, I guess it must be nice for him not to be forced to play shit like Lair...

That TLOUR ratings thread is foaming at the mouth because someone had the nerve to give it an 8. I thought it was a pretty ok game but I'm not going to get mad because anyone liked it more or less than me.

Do you think it's possible that some people dislike those games because they actually dislike them, and not because of some perception of what's "cool?" I hated TLOU, and I didn't think Infinite was much better, but I can assure you I was not forming those opinions while worrying about how cool they are. I like what I like, I don't like what I don't like. I bet most people are the same way.
 
Red Dead Redemption was a good game.

They should make another one of those. Maybe Take GTAV's multi character thing and steal that. Switching between characters really helped break apart a 30+ hour game like that.

For example imagine if the Mexico stuff in RDR was played through the eyes of a character who gave a shit.
 
I wonder which Mario Party they'll play. Tharp told me they'd played 1, 2 and 3 at GI, so basically the best ones. Hope it's one of those! :O

Hopefully whichever one Jeff likes the least. We need to go for maximum clash between Dan's enthusiasm and Jeff's unhappiness over the game.

Still fits. Weird. People have different opinions. You liked some choices they made in the game design, I think they made the wrong choice at almost every turn. The game has really no redeemable aspect that holds up for more than an hour, so I feel it's a truly bad game. I don't really care whether you like it, don't let my feelings impact yours. But it's an awful game.
 
mario party was good up through 5

they got bad after that

because ive never played them

i liked 5 a lot though cause you could just change all the spaces if you wanted
