PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Kicking myself for not getting Rogue Legacy at the presale price. I guess I'll wait for it to go >$10.

Hoping for a good summer sale today. Strange we don't know August PS+ yet, too. Used my $5 gamestop gift card (from the IOS app download earlier this week) to purchase a $10 PSN card in anticipation for a good Vita deal.

Summer sale is for Europeans, Americans already got the summer sale weeks ago.

It'll probably end up on ps+ by Christmas, if not, I'm sure it'll be in sale for around $8 by then
 
Is the Ratchet Collection all in one bubble? I doubt it isn't but is there a way to finally go to another game without having to quit completely then reboot the entire collection?
 
Sort of off-topic, but the best place I found on the front page:

anyone here have the sony gold headset? worth $70?

(primarily for ps4 use, but my current headset for the PS3 is basically hot garbage)

Looks like Persona 4 Arena will be on sale too. Unless $12.99 is the sale price?

I'm not into fighters, but I'm into Persona and I've heard this game is pretty easy to get into. Is there truth to that?

Blah LBP3 has 4 different pre-order DLC costume sets... 1 for amazon, 1 for gamestop, 1 for best buy, and 1 for digital.

Amazon has old stuff, that you can already buy... gamestop, best buy, and digital are all new stuff. No info on which, if any, are or will be available for purchase separately on day 1 or later on. There's plenty of LBP costume DLC that never went up for sale outside of the first week, or outside of preorders. This is specifically targeting LBP fans like me. I can't be spending $180+tax on one game and then trying to recoup it on ebay, and still come reup at a loss.

Now I understand why other people hate this kinda stuff... it's almost ironic that one of the packs is Dragon Age costumes.
 
There's only 1 PS2 HD Collection left unported to Vita. I can only imagine the horrors of Shadow of the Colossus on Vita given Sony's budget for these ports. Maybe SCE will announce a few more:

- Ape Escape (how has this not happened already)
- Dark Cloud
- The Getaway
- Wild Arms (would be kind of weird given the title placement)
- Gran Turismo

It would be a good way to "support" PS3 and Vita.
Also the only way Vita gets a Gran Turismo.

Yes, it's great.

The sequel is in two months though. But if you care about the story mode you might as well start with this one anyway.

True but they've announced the line up about 1.5 weeks before the update right. I also read somewhere that they would announce the line up last Monday, yesterday.

I figured they would wait before announcing it. People used to get confused by whats actually available on PS+ because you had different games rotating in and out every week and announcements weeks in advance of what the actual games on the service are.

Streamlining the release schedule is a good decision. They should probably just wait until the day before the update before announcing what the months games are.

I'd settle for just the straight PS2 version of Dark Cloud 2 available digitally at this point.
 
So- superhero sale and last week's weekly deals today? No updates?

Hopefully we'll see a flash sale again soon. I hate the rare off-weeks on PSN- it looks like this is one of them.

Hello! Saw nobody had replied to you. You can either download the games separately or in one Trilogy bubble (in the EU with Cross-Buy anyway) :) When I bought the Trilogy on PSN, it just put 1, 2 and 3 seperately in my download list.
