EA announces Subscription Service for Xbox One ($5/month or $30/year, get game vault)

Worth noting that these titles aren't yours for the duration of your subscription ala PS+, they will cycle and change , they will remove access to vault titles and replace them with others.

Where did you get this from? I see it says evolving titles and not revolving.

Im honestly shocked you guys think EA will actually give you "value" for your subscription. Keep running gaming into the ground guys. Make sure you all give Dungeon Keeper 5 stars on the way out.

So much salt. Holy shit.

Anyway, I have to go to work so I'll definitely give it a go in the morning.

Surely it has to be rotated, the Vault would become huge. Would they really let you play 4+ years of games for $30? And what about the ones they kill the servers for, why would they keep them there when they are unplayable?

Can we get a link to this as that sort of sucketh...

So I got a code for this in my xbox messages.... and it immediately says the code doesn't work? Anyone else experience this yet?

I had this problem; I was copying and pasting the code to the website and the last digit was getting cut off (because it included a space in front)

Yes the vault may be rotated but that's not what was posted. The poster said you lose access to those games which would be shit if they don't actually give you a time-frame.

Say you download BF4 and a day later it's gone. These games also have SP aspects so the game isn't dead if servers die and EA made no mention of "limited access" to downloaded games.

Anyone subscribed via the UK store and switched regions to the US to see if the discount still applies? Be interesting to know if it's locked to the region you purchase it in.

They wont rotate the vault out - they want you to buy DLC at this point - especially for something like BF4

This is an awesome idea. PS Now was always going to be a pain for Sony to organise deals with each publisher so I expected more services like this to pop up.

Hopefully they add all their titles into the vault and DONT pull titles from it. This is key to getting me to sign up for it.

The whole 'games release for subscribers before regular gamers' thing is a bit of a worry though....

This is a great deal, only five bucks, thats like the price of a damn cheeseburger.

The thing is, many EA games dont really suit my taste in games though. I only like dragon age and mass effect. I can't think of any other games i've played in the past from EA that I really liked.

This is great. Last night BF4 was on sale on the Xbox store for $30. I decided to wait one day and not impulse purchase. This morning the price was back at $60, this evening I get a code for the EA program.

$5 for BF4 for the month of August.. Destiny in September. I am good to go. :)

I'm more inclined to buy a month of BF4 than spending 30 to 40€ for a game that's multiplayer only.
Maybe they'll bring this to PC. I'm actually ok with this business model

If garden warfare was part of this I would go trade my bf4 and garden warfare discs in and make money on a year of this. The only 2 games I don't have of the 4 current ones are madden and FIFA which I probably won't play.

I'm in Australia and purchased from the US region and the discounts apply to both stores so that's pretty awesome. Although with the ridiculous pricing of games in Aus I won't be buying much from home.
