DREWS CHANCE MOVE OH MY GOD

I was jumping up and down saying yes. I need to go back in this thread and see the live reaction now.

I just finished The Mario Party Party. Jeff Gerstmann is the best. I'm pretty sure the game screwed him over a few times during the mini-games. The Dan and Brad feud seemed pretty real though. You... you don't think Dan hates Brad do you? I sure hope not.

I wanted Drew to win so bad.

Aw yeah, we've got our new X GB member hates Y GB member right here! Let's make some fanfic!

I think the only saving grace is that he is self-aware. Imagine if he was steadfast on opinions on things because he assumed he was naturally right all the time.

That said, he's a dude who eats off of paper plates because he doesn't want to do dishes. I mean... holy shit. lol

I have a career job and I still do that (also my washing machine never actually cleans)

He didn't even know you could recycle plastic cutlery...
He didn't even know that they make biodegradable plastics now!

I assume you mean dishwasher. lol
But I mean, it's a couple of plates... unless you have like 20 people in your family or something. And in that case, just get people to help!

"This is a true test of skill."

YEAH DREWWWWWW

Drew with the Dexter face of concentration.

"THIS IS THE BEST CASE SCENARIO! FUCK YOU!"

Fuck yes Drew! Hahaha

That was amazing. Everything built up to that moment.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

SLAUGHTERED

HAHAHAHAHA

POOR BRAD

Giant Bomb really is in top form.

The Brad scream, I'm dying here.

You would be surprised how frequently you find your self washing dirty dishes when your single (and wash by hand)

But it's not a difficult or time consuming task at all, if you're doing it right, especially if it's only your own shit.

But you're assuming I'm smart enough to do the dishes after each meal, which I'm obviously not. So because of that laziness it's a fucking chore to do dishes when there's like three days old plates standing there.

I've become better at it now, but there's a reason I used paper plates throughout all my years as a student. And that reason is: I'm lazy as shit. Don't underestimate how lazy people can become when they're single and live in a small, rented apartment.

There's no way to gift subs right? After they rebuilt the site they couldn't be tossed to reimplement it?

You can totally gift yearly subs. Just give your code to someone when signing up. No way to gift monthly subs though, as far as I know.

I know a lot of people that use paper plates when they can. It is probably for lazy reasons mostly but I have always seen it as completely normal. I go through periods where I'll buy paper plates and not use actual dishes unless it's a special occasion. Same with plastic cups.

But like I said, I know a lot of people that do the same so I never thought differently about it.

Paper plates are annoying, I'd find the hassle of eating off them more of a problem than washing a plate after eating.

Only full year subs. Would be great if they had monthly codes available.

Well yeah part of the process is keeping on top of it and making it easy for yourself by cleaning as you prepare/cook, and cleaning up soon after you're done. Being lazy and leaving stuff lying around just creates much more work for yourself in the future, and probably increases the chances that you won't fully clean everything either (if washing by hand), which is maybe the even bigger crime here. Dried-on food on dishes and cutlery that someone decided were "clean enough" is gross.

Just to clarify about paper plates because I see some more replies when I type this. I don't have a problem with people using paper plates, but I think there's something wrong if you're using them day in day out because of the whole washing dishes laziness thing.

wait, where and how?!

When you sign up for a yearly sub, you should get the option to gift it to someone. It's a code IIRC. I could be making that up, but I swear it's there.

Anyone know for sure?

Make no mistakes, I'm not saying it's a great way to live! ;)

I need to catch up since E3 2014. I heard they hired two new guys and Vinny moved to Alex-land to start a new Giant Bomb segment. Any highlights I have missed since then?

And I don't mean Quick Looks, but happenings or events as well. (I heard Brad is basically Bombcast host?)

So Dan eats out of shoe boxes, shaves with no water or shaving cream, and tries to cook egg shells... He's totally an alien trying to blend in isn't he...

Just got around to listening to the latest Bombin': So we can (probably) expect How to Build a BOMB episode 2 to drop this week? Awesome!

People who eat off paper plates are people that even wrestling/anime fans can look down on.

oh man all three of those are me. I should probably just kill myself now. :(

In my defense, my apartment's dishwasher is TERRIBLE and I only really use it to clean my silverware. plates and stuff need to be done by hand. most of the time it's just not worth it.

About 45 mins into the Mario Party video and this is amazing. Dan getting Jeff to go out of his comfort zone is the best. First Kinect shite, now Mario Party, surely Yoshi and NIGHTS to follow.

I was definitely questioning Jeff's decision to do 50 turns but then all of the good drama and shouting came out in the last hour.

Not sure why I should be surprised that Jeff knows what makes for entertaining videos. Or that he's totally okay with playing the heel.
let's face it, he wouldn't do videos like this or pick 50 turns if he wasn't having fun or deriving some kind of satisfaction from it. even if it's just for the satisfaction of a job well done/ quality entertainment.

I think the people that say Jeff is jaded or hates everything don't realize that he's actually just really good at playing the straight man or devil's advocate to make things more interesting. There's a reason why his reviews and tumblr/jar time anecdotes tend to seem more positive than his cast/stream discussions.

edit: Also I hope that they saw an upswing in subs or get a lot of hits on this Mario Party stream so that they feel compelled to continue along this path of madness.

I remember I stopped playing at MP6 because the post-game star rewards were so broken that the entire game was arbitrary. That should be pretty fascinating.

Sent Rorie a PM last week about the present and just generally saying thanks again. Sounds like he appreciates it.

Awesome, thanks so much! It's a nice little cubicle adornment for sure. I do appreciate the gesture, quite a bit; it's been nice to see people react well to what we're trying to do rather than just be all OMG NAZI MODS. But things have been going relatively smoothly, so hopefully they'll stay that way.

Say thanks to the rest of the GAFfers!

only if you consider locking down problem threads before they got out of hand like other recent events nazism (like the people posting in those threads did apparently).

but hey, surprise, people who get off on disparaging other people on message boards also seem to get angry when they're forcibly made to shut up.
