PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

Lol, yeah, really weird:

Some VAT differences? Cause in Finland RL is "Total: ¬10,36", so I got it 3 cents cheaper \o_. Normal price was 12,95€ (not 12,99€).

That has been corrected for Rogue Legacy (and Pure Pool), PS+ discount clearly appears now.

Phantom Breaker is still 14,49 right now

Am I the only Vita owner struggling along with an 8gb memory card? I am CONSTANTLY 'clearing the fridge', but I just can't bring myself to buy a bigger card at Sony's bonkers, inflated prices.

Every month when the PS Plus games are released, or when I buy a new game, I have to think long and hard about what I want to get rid off, and what I want to keep...

Never looked back after getting my 64GB card. Sounds painful.

Got Rogue Legacy in my cart... hope this sale information goes up on the blog soon, I'm itching to see what's on offer.

I struggle with 32gb! Some games lately have been huge! Just a heads up btw, I hope you've been backing up your saves before deletion. Removing a game from the card also deletes its save file :/

I have the same problem
4GB though x(

If you sell your 8GB and shop for a 16 GB, you won't break the bank.

Oh yeah, love the cloud save function of Plus, and am always backing up my saves!

Use the suggestion box, like I did. I asked for.

- Better story presentation. The campaign is rich on story, voice acting and lore, but it lacks flair. Some realtime cutscenes or CG with the current storyboard cutscenes could give the game the AAA treatment that it deserves.
- Less scripted battlefields. Rare offering chests or draw points could make the non-boss stages less tedious, Also, give some elevation in the maps, just like FW. Remove the "gust of wind" nonsense.
- Enviromental destruction. Burn trees, Freeze rivers and magma, Etc.

This are some good suggestions, I'm all for the removal of gust of wind, more elevated maps and your examples of environment interactions. The thing I'm not sure of though is the presentation changes, I kind of like how it's up to my own imagination how every scene looks Books>movies as I think it might detract from the experience and become cheesy if they use a bad director.

To me the advantages with something like pixelart is not that it looks cute or cool, but that it gives me an idea of how something looks, but at the same time l'm able to "fill in the blanks". The more "realistic" something is, the bigger is the chance of reaching the "uncanny valley".

I sent in (VitaGAF's) Ralch's suggestion to be able to make your own notes of monster weaknesses in Librom.

Speaking of which is there a way to turn it to 'automatically on' as opposed to 'automatically off' on the vita?

Isn't this game dependent? I'm playing through Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate at the moment, and I'm sure the automatic save upload option is within the game itself.

Might be wrong.

When will the Summer sale go up?

If you sell your 8GB and shop for a 16 GB, you won't break the bank.

16GB isn't a lot though. I don't even have many digital Vita games (most of my digital stuff is PS1/P/Indie) and my 16GB is almost full. I've only had the system for half a year.

so let me get this straight. Ratchet collection comes very very late to NA. Is Digital! Is not crossbuy! and is one 3 gb file and not three separate downloads? Are you kidding me SCEA.

Lovely joke, isn't it :(....

I still plan on getting it though; I got the PS3 collection for only 7 bucks last year, so paying for the Vita version (which looks to be a well-running port) doesn't sound that bad :).

It sucks but try not to compare prices to normal sd cards and only to other vita cards. You only get bogged down and avoid seeing the value in a vita card sale... Theres never going to be other options, it is what it is, so if up to this point you've loved your vita, and only issue is mem card, then you shouldnt fear about investing in one and it being waste. No point in holding yourself and the system back.

PS+ Lineup for EU will be revealed in 2 hours.

Cool :D. I hope you guy's with EU Plus get a killer line up of games this month :). For the universal PS4 game....I'm thinking we will start seeing full-retail games this month, kicking off with Knack (don't tell me that the game was poorly rated; they put Modnation Racers Vita on Plus this year even though it was under 65).

But the more realistic bet is that one of the newer indie games will take up the slot (I think that will be Octodad and Flower).

On the topic of retail titles: I'm really hoping Killzone: Shadow Fall doesn't end up being one of this month's freebies considering I bought it yesterday lol.

If you keep a sharp eye out there, you will find some good deals :D. I got my MC's through trades ins of DS and Wii games I stopped playing alongside deals during the holidays (got my 32GB card for only 50 bucks at GameStop last December during a big holiday sale).

Out of all the games though, Killzone might be the most realistic one to put up :l. They could even pull the Uncharted 3-thing where they have the single player be a 'pack' that you add-on to a free-to-play version of the multiplayer. Granted, Uncharted 3 was a year or so old when it got put on PS+, so who knows :).

Yep, I know. But it is the cheapest way for him to upgrade. I have a full 32, and could fill a 64.

Sale post is live:
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014...s-store-today/?emcid=social_20140730_28753956

Lots of games, discounts are okay, nothing really jumped out at me.
I'll probably grab Tomb Raider Guardian of Light but other than that there's nothing that jumps out at me either for a cheap price. Hopefully some better stuff will come around on the second batch.
seen here :
Only one that interests me is Road Not Taken, hopefully the other PS+ games are more interesting.

Conception and Mind Zero were the titles I noticed as well but eh, I don't think I really need those right now (at that price). :/
Yeah, thing is I don't see Conception going any cheaper at any time. Might as well get it now. It's a game I really liked the demo of but I heard it gets repetitive quick :/

Mind Zero looks terrible to me though, I don't think I'd pay anything for it tbh. Here's hoping for more Vita stuff next week. I'd love to see more PSP titles go on sale too..
That sounds like a cool line up :D.
Unless you're a Vita owner :p

Same old, same old for Vita owners.

However, there's 4 weeks of these deals, with new deals each week, so there should be something that people want.

I think only PS4 deals will get a weekly update whereas PS3/Vita will be biweekly

Alongside this we also have part one of our PlayStation 3 and PS Vita discounts going live for two weeks before being swapped for part two.

Next week we’ll be back with even more PS4 games on offer (over 25!)
