PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

http://youtu.be/lnamytXWF6c

can someone that understands japnaese please tell me if they talk anything about level structure (is it level based or can you explore anything, seems to me that its more of a SRPG than a "classic" RPG).

We already had trailers with gameplay, no longplay like this one though.
It looks good.
The game is a SRPG, so i think it's safe to say it's level based.

EDIT:
Top of the 50ppp page:
buy Rogue Legacy, Phantom Breaker, Jazz: Trump's Journey and Console Saga.

PlayStation Vita

Phantom Breaker Battle Ground
Price: £11.59/€14.49/$21.95
Not available in South Africa

Now i'm even more confused as to what Phantom Breakers price is supposed to be.

Wait, What?! I was looking forward to downloading and playing this when I got home today. F**! This sucks.

It looks really good, I just hope that not all levels are as flat as this and that it will be released in the west ;)

DC is not Cross-Buy so I think it's just a typo.

Hm, might be the Vita version only, then. They only mention about the Vita when talking about it on the post.

If so, Proteus is being considered the second PS3 game, Fez the second PS4 game and DC the second Vita game.

Woah they're giving away Metrico as Day 1 free PS+ game? That's kinda disappointing in a way, because Metrico is a true Vita exclusive (so far), but we'll never have any idea of how it would have sold.

Also we're apparently getting both versions of Dragon's Crown despite it not being cross-buy!!! Holy shit. Kristine just confirmed in the comments that it's not a typo.

For those who haven't seen them yet. First screenshots for Great Edo Blacksmith (quoted from the other thread)
Despite the RPGMaker-like dungeon graphics it doesn't look too bad imo. Ecchi stuff seems to rather tame (for now).
So conflicted right now. I want the game because of the dungeon crawling but I don't care at all about the ecchi crap.

Am I completely misremembering or Phantom Breaker was supposed to be €10/$12?
You're not, it's been bought up by a couple of people and Jawhad said he was double checking. Hopefully we find out from him or 5pb. if that's the right price or not soon.
Wait, What?! I was looking forward to downloading and playing this when I got home today. F**! This sucks.
That's unfortunate, when a couple of regions get excluded for a game it sucks :(

Still sad about Corpse Party not coming here.
So, is €14,49 now the correct price for Phantom Breaker? If yes, I'm gonna pass and wait for a sale.. ;(
We don't know yet.
I'm sad for developpers. Day 1 sales are important and they will lose some with that mess
Yeah, sucks if this is some mixup that wasn't their fault. Price is a big factor in day 1 purchases and this will most certainly put a bunch of people off of buying the game.

Whoa, insanely cool news about Dragon's Crown being both! That is so great to hear, thanks for the heads up. This was one of the things that made me want the Vita in the first place, and being able to play both versions is so good.

PS+ US: Road not Taken (PS4), Fez (3-way cross-buy), Crysis 3 (PS3), Proteus (PS3/Vita), Dragon's Crown (PS3/Vita), Metrico (Vita). Coming on Aug 5.
Really nice to see both versions of Dragon's Crown. EU got only the Vita one, aye?

From the comments of the PS+ Blog. Dragons Crown, despite NOT being cross-buy, will be a free download on both PS3 and Vita. Thats super good.

Let's hope the ecchi part will be optional or at least not as dominant as in Criminal Girls.

Wow, really jealous now. Happy for all US users though!

woah....so we're legit getting both the PS3 and Vita version? :D Now I can play some co-op with my friends while still play on the go. *Friends don't own Vitas sadly*

Mind Zero worth a punt? Fancy something a bit different, wouldn't mind some opinions on it from those who've played it if possible :-)

From what I gather of the game, it is a crappy Persona clone :l. I don't know if that makes it BAD, as it is copying its tool-set from one of the top RPG's out there, so it should be a okay game at best. I don't own it, so I can't give a fair view on it, but from what I saw of it, it looks generic.

Only if you already played Demon Gaze and like DRPGs. It's not as bad as people make it out to be, I doubt half of them have even played the game.

Just saw the line-up of PS+ games and man is it a great month :D.

Dragons Crown being cross-buy (with 'free' PS3 and Vita versions) is great and I can't wait to try it out; saw nothing but praise about it and really liked Maramusa, so it should be really fun to play this :D.

I own Fez and Proteus (both solid games :D) but its is great others can experience them. Both offer really open worlds to explore, making them filled with endless stuff to see and find :).

Metrico was a game I've been mildly watching and its great that it is finally coming out next week, for the lovely price of 'free' no less :)! The game just has a really cool look to it that makes you want to try it out. Besides, it is one of the very few true exclusives the Vita even has, so that alone is a nice thing.

Crysis 3 should be nice. Never played any of the games in the series, but they always are beautiful looking games, so it's going to be nice to give the series a shot. I've heard the PS3 version has performance issues, so I hope that doesn't get in the way of the enjoyment factor of the game :l.

Lastly is Road Not Taken. I don't own a PS4, so I cannot play this now (will latter on whenever I pick a PS4 up) but it has a really interesting art style and gameplay, so whenever the Vita version comes out, I will give that a shot.

Is there even a hate bandwagon on this game? People dislike the game because it IS terrible and definitely not worth 30 bucks.

Guys, just arrived from my holidays (I didn't have 3G or anything there). Have I missed something important during the latest 2 weeks? I don't wsnt to go through 15 days of gamming news

I have a question about the Ratchet Collection for NA Vita; when you buy the collection, are the games individual downloads or are they just lumped into one game (like the Jak Collection)?

It would be nice to only have Ratchet 2 and 3 to save some space for some other games, so any advice would be nice :).

Some stuff happened :).

The PSN Store got some nice sales on PS1 Classics during a Flash Sale (lots of great RPG's like Wild Arms there) and a recent sale on Super Hero-themed games for Vita/PS4/PS3 (Injustice and Batman Blackgate being 4 something per game for example :D).

We got confirmation that EU is getting the retail version of Freedom Wars this fall (really nice too considering the backlash Sony got from that being digital only in EU at first). Still no news on Studio Japan's other Vita game getting a retail release though :l.

Ratchet Collection finally came to US PSN but it was digital only and didn't have Cross-buy :(. My guess it was due to the bug EU retail copies had that prevented Retail Copies in US but who knows :l.

Recently Crytek has had many internal issues (with Vigil and Free Radical parts of the studio getting shut down; the former's condition is unknown while the latter's condition is not that bad, with many of the team swarming to Deep Silver's new studio do finish up Homefront 2).

Um....I think that is the most of it :).

SCEA is removing PSP games from the Vita store and not alerting the publishers: http://natsume.com/community/showthread.php?t=3284

I'm guessing this is what happened to Gurumin, ClaDun X2 and potentially others. Unfortunately, Mastiff and NIS don't seem to care enough to buy them to get it back on the store.

:bow SCEA :bow

Was Gurumin ever in the store for Vita? I wonder if this is like the opposite of the "everything for Vita!" bug and all (if any others exist) ones taken down unintentionally will be restored.

So that is why Gurumin was taken of the Vita store....that is just messed up :(. Those are great games and desrive more people to buy them but if they aren't on the Vita store and people have no idea they work on Vita, they will never get them X(.

Another case of SCEA being incompetent?

Gurumin definitely was on the Vita store. It got a price drop earlier in the year and was removed from the Vita store but is still available on PSN. I thought Mastiff's license expired or something, but given what happened to that Natsume game, as well as Mastiff putting out the PC version of Gurumin, I'm guessing it was SCEA.

They're probably not intentionally taking this stuff down, but it's happening.

Rogue Legacy seems to forget your 'enable quick drop' setting when you close the game. I have to keep selecting yes and it's screwed me over a few times with those platforms you need to jump attack.

Also just accidentally found out you can drag that small minimap in the corner with the touchscreen.

Mind Zero worth a punt? Fancy something a bit different, wouldn't mind some opinions on it from those who've played it if possible :-)
It's very average. I played through the entire game and it was fine, certainly nothing near the train wreck so many people here seem to think it is.

When in doubt, it's a good idea to assume SCEA being incompetent is at fault.

I'm terrible at Rogue Legacy, I seem to breeding a line of bald dwarfs with a variety of vision problems that are incapable of either surviving a boss battle or surviving anywhere outside the first castle area.

Not only did I misunderstand the upgrade system I even keep forgetting the controls. The controls! There are hardly any of them but I completely forgot about the triangle button.
I think eventually the game will decide I'm too bad to continue and fade to black to represent both the blindness and lack of hope of my family of inept heroes.
