How does this game still not have a name.

Because then we might remember there are previous entries, which would require an amount of time to pass. We'd then become aware that time as a construct has continued for years, decades even. We'd realize we've been in this spiral of nintendo going nowhere in life, completing the same repetitions. Don't break the illusion.

You know...I can't imagine how the Koopa Car would work in terms of being grabbed?

In itself it's not that weird of a concept, but then when you think about how all the different items and characters would interact with it it gets a bit murky. I'd love a vehicle-driving character though like Jill, but it doesn't seem like a good fit for Smash.

Exactly what I'm saying about Koopa Cart like many pages ago.

Dark Pit will probably be a texture swap with a unique announcer line and a unique voice. Maybe a few new taunts. Go all the way with making him an alt as they originally planned for Lucina
I'd be totally down for this. Honestly, not that I want them to do this to Falco or Wolf, but they could squeeze in some fun characters using this method.

Bill is just doing his job. Although, I find Melee's roster kind of boring now. But it makes up for it in other ways. I like that Smash 4 has been compared to 64 a lot, there is something about the physics in that game that feel so good.

Melee and Brawl didn't age well graphically either, imo.

Both look really dark and dull.

Thankfully SSB4's brighter graphics seem like they'll have a longer shelf-life.

I disagree, they play at 60fps, have great animations, and did the best with the given hardware. This sounds a bit revisionist--Brawl looks dull in areas but both are pretty colorful games. They may not have the luxury of the Wii U's capabilities, but I feel they still look good based off art style alone.

Smash 4 is definitely the best though, not just in polygon count (the 3DS version also has a better style than Melee/Brawl) and technically speaking. But the aesthetics as well. Great use of light and color, fluid 60fps, best animation work the series has seen yet, HD, the cutting effect on strikes, and the kill cues.

The game will hold up for a very long time visually like the others.

Brawl random screenshot threads proved just how good looking that game really was. Some of the best art direction last gen.

60 FPS streams of Smash Wii U though, game looks UNREAL.

Smash 4 already looks to be some of Nintendo's best visual design ever. The game is crazy dynamic and has so much going on without ever feeling like it's too much. The visuals all pop and the color palette choices are the best they've ever been. It's kinda hard to imagine that the series would become this if one remembers what Smash 64 looked like. :lol

This game has at least 10.
12 if you're for some reason into Miis and Villagers.

SAO's
Female-to-Male ratio is gazillion-to-one
Let's stop being creepy right here :p

Playing Brawl on Dolphin, and surprisingly it really looks so good. Add the 60fps animations, and Brawl I can say is one of the most beautiful games of last gen. Smash 4 obviously is more vibrant in colors and it looks to be a guaranteed graphical marvel from art style point of view.

Dibs on Peach.
Going to try my best to main her.

This is totally subjective so of course there is no right answer, but I personally think Brawl has aged very poorly. I look at those same screenshots I used to think look awesome and wonder why I was so impressed.

I agreed. The Visual for Smash 4 is pretty insane good. I can't wait to have the game in my hands!

Is there a term for something that seems to go beyond buttery smooth. Because that's what that direct source twitch stream was like when I watched it.

hello friend

have you heard the good word of the boots?
Geez, how many alt accounts converts does Neiteio have?!

Just finished with the 3DS FC list, let me just say I really hope that dies in a fire for the next Nintendo handheld. Fortunately I was able to reacquaint myself with the MGR boss OST in the time being, so it wasn't a complete waste of time

You could cheese Robin's Thoron attack to make it an Ocarina of Time energy ball that could be swatted back at him! That's all I got lol.

That's my most wanted move for Ganondorf actually. Deadman's Volley. Robin's Animations though would look weird with dorf imo

He does it in the very beginning of this video, I think on the 30 second mark.

That is quite possibly the laziest kick of all time. I guess the triforce of power doesn't reach his legs.

The 100 limit hurts :(

This is actually why I tend to be more excited for veterans than newcomers, as crazy as it sounds. Seeing all the veterans updated visually in comparison to how they were before excites me for some reason, especially if their design is updated. (Ike and Olimar)

I particularly love how Captain Falcon looks in this game. He always looked off to me in all previous Smash games in comparison to his F-Zero designs, but this new one is fine. Still would have preferred his GX design, though.

I'm going to be controversial and say that I want a new Smash to try and redo what Smash 64's box art did and make all the characters more cartoony and exaggerated. It would lead to a bigger range of expressions on the character models that would great improve the look of the game.

Yeah, it does look pretty damn weak. The one in Brawl obviously has some force put into it. Haha. J

If there's anything I'd want to see inspired from the Smash 64 box art, it'd be more use of visual onomatopoeia for hit cues and the like.

Doesn't seem to be a problem in Marvel

Feels like a sequel to Smash 64 in that regard. My favorite game in the series.

After Melee and Brawl, I was so worried that Smash 4 wouldn't be the bright, colorful, Nintendo-y game that I was hoping for, but when I saw that trailer for the first time, I felt like either Sakurai was reading my mind or God answered my prayers.
