So I'm not sure if this is old but this popped up on Microsoft's Facebook page.

Another hint for a PC release?

If it were a gaming mouse I'd say it might be a hint, but it's just a wireless laptop mouse so I kinda doubt it.
Wouldn't be the first time Microsoft released something for PC they thought would be perfect for PC gaming and was absolutely horrendous for it.

Obvious passive aggression towards GFWL is obvious

I just purchased a 12 month xbl sub and I don't currently own an xbox one. Lololol, I think I just forced my own hand.
Hah, did you already activate it? May as well buy an XB1 now and play some Titanfall or Battlefield (and get Guacamelee while it's still free!).

I'd sure get it if there was a PC version. I loved Halo 1 and 2 (we always did the Beaver Creek map in local MP, as I did not have XBL) on the first XBOX. However having a PS3 last gen, Halo and Gears were the only 360 exclusives I truly had an eye on, so I decided to go one console only (after owning PS2/GC/XB the previous gen). I wonder if this does come to PC, if they'll also do a "Spin-Off" collection with Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, Halo: Wars, and maybe even Halo: Spartan Assault (which is already on PC and apparently awful).

or native Mouse and Keyboard support for Halo MCC, that would actually be something :)
seeing how the Halo PC port managed to get a good mouse experience out of the otherwise extremly slow turning Halo look mechanic sort of makes this plausible

Just popped in to say while it's probably not exactly on topic that new One commercial "...that's how winning is done"... With Master Chief at the end? That's crazy good shit.

Very well done...makes me want to play 2 against old friends.

Pretty sure it's just some crappy mouse with a Halo skin and nothing else. Didn't they say no plans for a PC version?

They said that they're listening, and if people really want Halo on PC, they should keep asking for it. The collection is coming, the only question is when. Halo 5? I doubt it, maybe in time for its 10th anniversary.

Okay, but if it's that far in the future surely this mouse doesn't have anything to do with it.

I've been thinking about how files will work in the MCC. Halo 3 had the 100 file/50 screenshot limit. Halo 4 doesn't have any limit. With the expanded memory and storage on the Xbox One compared to the 360, Halo 3 could remove the limits.

I was also thinking about how it could all be organized and in theory, if you can load up different engines on a whim in MP, you can load up different engines in theatre just as easily. For recent games, you aren't limited to the title that's currently in cache, like you were on the 360.

So just watched the MCC & Nightfall panels, and thought it was interesting to recap some of the things we have learned about Halo 5 Guardians.

1.) You will play as Locke and Master Chief in H5 Guardians Campaign.
2.) Currently no plans for duel wielding in H5 Guardians.
3.) Will be "new aliens" to fight in H5 Guardians as well as some "old favorites" returning.
4.) Mike Colter will play Locke in H5 Gaurdians with VO & MO-cap too I believe.

The Halo 5 beta isn't actually confirmed for 2014 is it? I never expected it to actually happen this year, but I've seen people elsewhere assuming it is.

I doubt it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the Halo games that have made it to PC didn't sell great (Halo 1 PC sold okay, at best I thought). Microsoft would also probably do something stupid like make it Windows 9 exclusive or something. The main reason I don't think we'll see a PC release of this (for a while, at least) is because Microsoft wants to sell XB1s.

Not mention Spartan Assault. lol

Spartan Assault is a perfectly fine game. Is it a good Halo game? Eh, obviously not. Is it a sweet TSS, set in the Halo universe? Hell yeah it is.

I'm gonna assume you haven't actually played it, because everybody I've heard from that has, really enjoyed it.

It's good for what it is: a mobile port. Hell, it's even a decent twin-stick shooter on its own merits! Tougher than most I've played, especially with the right (wrong) skulls turned on. But it's still limited by its initial platform.

Kind of the same reason that I don't get why people want Halo Wars on the PC; it's an amazing console RTS, but I have to wonder how it would stack up when you remove the limitations that influenced its initial design.

Sold well enough to warrant a Custom Edition release (think of it like a free modder's expansion pack), and with legs long enough to warrant patches after the end of official support.

I can't seem to find anything publicly speaking on how well Halo: Combat Evolved PC sold but I know for a fact that it sold very very well. I remember that the population was booming in 2003 - 2006. Sales numbers definitely aren't a negative aspect when it comes to considering Halo for PC and it's clear to see how much interest there is to bringing Halo 3 specifically to the PC.

In fact, when the Steam Database leaks came out, there were plenty of unannounced brand new games that were outed. There were big hitters like Saints Row appearing and Halo 3 PC was still the headline for the news articles. In fact, if you'll remember, when GameSpy's servers were announced to be shutting down, there was a looooooong list of great PC games that were going offline (Like Battlefield: Bad Company 2) yet Halo PC seemed to be the most cared about out of the list which completely shocked me.

That's from E3... as in 2 months old.

I understand that. It's labeled as such. The extended segments weren't in the OP (which was started roughly two months ago as well) and it hadn't been in the first several pages or in the recent pages. It was why I asked if it had been seen before.

At SDCC, when I did the 'closed door' press thing, they had this level playable, and one of the guys there went through it. It was the same level, but he did it a little differently than the video I saw @ E3, an Elite almost 'killed' him, it was pretty funny.
