The dub in general got screwed over. Pulled from Nickelodeon after 2 episodes, the Vortexx is dead now...
This is potentially interesting. If thats the case then I hope is solo Taichi only without an introduction of a totally new group.

I seem to be in the minority here but aside from the fact that everyone was even less-than-stick thin, I liked the look of Young Hunters.
Probably the only thing that'd make me pissed about visual style is if they went with something Data Squad-esque, but I highly doubt they'd do that.

78. For such a grand event, you would think they up the budget for the episode a little bit.
It did, in the Digimon Adventure game all the kids Digimon finally got Ultimate level and that seem to be carried over in the newest Digimon game.
Patamon warp digivolving into Seraphimon was confusing as hell in the movie since it just came out of nowhere and was never brought up again in other movies and show.
Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!!/Supreme Evolution!! was a odd movie and is confusing in the original and in the dub version.
I notices that site has English, perhaps it will get an english release as well... maybe?
Episode 21 of adventure was really well done, but it was a one episode thing. I don't think the new show will anything as good as this:
That right there is one of the first episode I ever watched and was how I found out about Digimon.

I was just wacthing now parts of the Digimon movie in spanish in youtube (i remember the day when me, a friend and his brother went walking like one hour to the city outskirts to get to the theater where the movie was screened), and holy shit america, im ok with you editing 3 movies to hell and back, im ok with you even putting an angela anaconda short before the movie (what the hell was that about). What Im not ok with is the disatrous music you edited while taking the japanese soundtrack out.
At least in Spain the series had the original japanese music and "translated" versions (it's funny that instead of spanish Butterfly talking only about love like the original, it did a summary of what you where going to watch in the series up to the black wheels and digimon friendship, when it appeared in the anime it was the japanese version, same with Brave Heart) of the OP and ED, we dont want to hear your shitty digimon raps.

Then I started watching the whole anime in fox kids with a friend. I told him that maybe I had seen the ending or something, he told me that was impossible.
Surprise surprise, when that episode came i told him "it's going to happen this" and I was vindicated.
Seems public television aired the series a lot faster than cable here.

I never really liked the movie. Well, condensed as a dub was ok, but the actual cut is just... too long and boring :/ Should've got Hosoda to come back and direct! Adventure and Our War Game were awesome, and Wargame is one of my top favorite anime movies.

Damn that episode was good. Probably one of the more darker episodes of Tamers. Surprised for most part that it didn't get censored that badly.
The wording of "Digimon 15th Anniversary Project" on the website has me worried this may be shorter than I'm hoping. It's mostly the use of the word "project."
Unless it's referring to the reveal of the anime and the release of the blu-rays as one entity, I guess. I didn't watch that panel thing and I don't know Japanese so everything I've heard is just from other people/this thread.
Also I'm glad we're getting a good heads up on this so I can marathon Adventure and then slowly trudge through 02 again. I wanna have it all fresh in my mind when this starts airing.

It was only like last year when I found out that the person behind Tamers made some really fucked up anime (Serial Experiments Lain, Texnolyze, Ghost Hound). Which I now have to watch all.

Its funny that the majority of people don't agree with his official parings. Read in this thread that was because the english translation changed a whole lot (was just checking the spanish version and it comes directly from that, same with other versions it seems, but with the japanese music unchanged for the european versions) and the japanese is different. Still I wonder what the majority the japanese think about it, if they think the same as westerners, the creator didnt do a good job trying to do his vision lol
Joe x Mimi is the typical trope of looser gets the sexy girl at the end, thats why probably so many people like it (me included). Was just watching part of the movie and its really cute that Joe left Mimi the love letter while she was in vacation. Sadly it blows away by the wind.

Hosoda also did Our War Game, the second segment of the Franken-Digimon movie. It would inspire him to write and direct Summer Wars. Hosoda also did the sixth One Piece movie.
Speaking of, in Japanese theaters, Our War Game was a double feature with the very first One Piece movie. Think about that.

Tai/Sora is extremely popular in Japan too I believe. I don't think it was just westerners who were disappointed by Matt/Sora.
I get people don't like Sora and Matt so they think they work fine but I honestly thought Sora and Tai's dynamic were great which made the pairing better.
