There's no winning with the youtube comments section. Either you waste time and sanity moderating the comments, you ignore them completely and let them soil the video's page, or you turn them off completely and have people attack you on twitter or whatever.

Matt Lees had to make a video explaining why he was turning off the comments saying they were driving him into depression.

Patrick says he's able to shrug them off, but then he's also become a Very Serious Person over the last year and I can't help but think maybe he shouldn't even bother with shrugging them off. Some fights aren't worth fighting.

Tested was always additional content on my GB sub as far as I am concerned. However, if I were one of the people who signed up last time, specifically because they were doing "Bricked", only to see the company sold shortly after, I might be a bit miffed being asked to pay again when they never made good on the subs from the old company.

On the other had, if people signed up just to watch adults build lego then I guess they got what they deserved :D
I want to see my adults playing kiddie video games like Story Book Adventures.

That name. That double negative. Too good.

i know that. But i am not going to spend $0 a year on a websiute and videos of lego

I feel like every dan x drew quick look has the phrase "we have never seen this game before" somewhere in the beginning.

Dan: "For all intents and purposes I have not seen Blade Runner."
Jason: "Goddamnit Dan"

Parkview Drive QL is off to a good start.

I am just always amazed that Tested still exists.

They found a new youtube audience. I think the following youtube comment sums up a lot of their new fanbase.

Is there a way to subscribe to only videos with Adam Savage? I'm not interested in these other videos you are publishing.

Nerdcubed, one of the bigger Let's Players on YT, turned off the comments on his videos for the same reason. Oh, and Totalbiscuit too. I think it's the only sane thing to do if you're the kind of person who has to look at the comments when they're there, which I know I would be if I was a Youtube personality.

edit:
I've watched Bladerunner, but didn't like it. I watched it all the way through on my 3rd try, turned it off because I hated it the two first times... I'm still surprised that I didn't like it, on paper it's pretty much my favourite movie ever.

I can't wait for dan to tell us that his favorite version of Blade Runner is the OG version so that we're torn as to whether we should be happy he saw it or maddened that he likes the worst version
like he does with terminator

New podcast segment: Dan gives brief reviews for movies he hasn't seen but knows something about through cultural osmosis and late night cable.

I know at the end he talks to a robot man in the rain and it's dramatic

It's getting to the point where I'd be disappointed if Dan said he liked anything BUT the worst possible version of any particular piece of media.

I own 5 copies of Blade Runner. I even own the 5-disc set on HD-DVD. I should probably find a laserdisc version one of these days.

I guess more accurately I own 5 "packages" of Blade Runner. Which is about 13 copies of the movie.

I really like Blade Runner, you guys

edit: Is this Pineview Drive in Source? Because this looks like a Source-ass Source game.

edit 2: apparently it's Unity

The criterion laser disc would be super cool to have, but pretty sure that runs like a 100 bucks on ebay.

okay a quick Google search says I'm wrong and it's way cheaper

i should buy one

I'd love to hang a Blade Runner LaserDisc on my wall. Sucks that those things seem to be more of a US thing, and shipping is always much more than the price of the actual product :(

"I pretty much don't know anything that wasn't in a Simpsons episode"

Dan is you standard American 30 year old. And it is terrifying.

The thing is there have been so many Simpsons episodes they've covered almost everything, from David to eating out of a shoebox.

Man, I know this whole dan doesn't know stuff thing is done for fun, but some of guys can be pretty nasty about it.

There's no excuse to how illiterate he is. It's not "cute" or fun - it's sad.

I miss Vinny...

In a single post you insulted Dan on a professional level, personal level and also insulted the country he lives in. Impressive, but messed up.

If my observation of his illiteracy is an insult in your mind I'm interested in what you see his "not knowing stuff" is: charming?
