Take the risk Lewis. At worst he's another Hargreaves but he'll at least have given us one hell of a year and were back in Champions League.

He played in the WC though and looked fine, unless he got injured there and im not aware.

Either way if we do get him he isnt going to start for us, he hasnt had a pre-season, will be a month at least before he is up to speed.

If the choice will be up to Cuadrado, i wonder if he wants to play alongside with Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Iniesta or would he want to play with Jones instead? Not to mention we have CL football and beautiful city of Barcelona as our advantage

hmm

Shit post

You can't name the best Barca players, and then just ignore the best Man Utd players

Would you rather play with Van Persie or Bartra?

The point is fair enough, but it's a silly way to make it.

Fight the good fight Hitcher!

Just saw Dan Crowley signed a professional contract with us. And scored a belter today.

Really exciting prospect. The new Jack Wilshere.

I think it may come down to £££ and who's willing to pay more.

United reportedly bid €40m and are currently favourites. This is according to Di Marzio who seems to know his stuff. IMO, if Barca match anything United offer, I do think he'll go to Barca.

Guardians of the Galaxy is really good.

Lame villains, like most Marvel movies, but the cast and the chemistry between them was top notch.

It was fun though I wish Marvel would come up with some other way to end their movies besides
giant cgi airship crash lands into giant cgi city
.

I can't imagine Barca being able to match United given their spending so far. Though you can't rule out a club like Barca going behind Fiorentina's backs and negotiating direct with Cuadrado to get him to reject any other club so they can get him on the cheap.

Sampaoli appreciated “the dedication, the willingness and the great example that Vidal showed, including the cost that could complicate any future goals, because I know that, right now, for example, the main hindrance holding back his transfer from Juventus to Manchester United, for $80m, is the doubt Louis Van Gaal has over the recovery of Arturo's knee.”

Pls LVG

Thats true. Not too bothered about him though. If he signs it just means Januzaj will have even more competion for a starting place.

lol Greg Stobart says there are 'no interested buyers' for Soldado

Seen Tim Howard before in Wilmslow, he got in my way as i was running late for my train. Regretted not throwing a challenge in to be honest.

Cuadrado would be quite suitable for a wing back position, from what little I've seen of him. I can't imagine Januzaj even being in contention for those positions. Of course if Utd don't play 3-5-2 then you have a point

I'd take him

Really? You do know Liverpool aren't strapped for cash, they don't need to go shopping in the bargain bin for Soldado

Yeah that was a bit lame
and the plot was very underwhelming.

I'm so sick of these movies revolving around finding some mysterious powerful object too. The fact that they are all building towards Thanos, who himself comes across as unappealing concerns me.

It gave me Star Wars vibes, which is always nice.

Why did you buy Lambert? It really is baffling to me.

Plan B, third choice striker who won't kick up a fuss about it. Was good for Southampton

Unfortunately, with Sturridge's injuries we may well be employing that plan a lot more often than we'd like

1) For all the money we still have in reserve, we seem to have reached a stage of the window where we're pissing about and haggling over sums of £2m
2) There is a fantastic striker in Soldado, as shit as he was last year. 4 or so great seasons followed by 1 bad one isn't enough to be written off imo. Whether he just can't adapt to the league, or doesn't fit in at Spurs, or is simply low on confidence is another matter

Liverpool's spending has been quite conservative for a club that just sold their best player for an very large fee and have CL money too. Surprised they aren't going all in on a Di Maria type (so far, anyways).

Even without Sturridge they got the best of us for 60 mins :(

Sterling is stupidly effective

I totally agree that Soldado is a reclamation project worth taking on. hard to read too much into last season at Spurs because AVB played with inverted wingers for so long and then after that he basically got frozen out of the side. not like Spurs have much of a choice anyways—they've already spent the 30m and there aren't any other cheap striking options readily available at the moment.

Too Expensive that chap is.

Remember this as he slots his third past whoever West Ham's keeper is on the opening day.

He's actually had an OK pre season, I'm fine with him, Ade and Kane as our strikers. At the very least he can take a nice penalty.

I think the important question here is if Vidal goes to United how much his card is going to cost in FUT, millions id imagine

I want to know when I'm getting my free copy of FIFA 15 when Vidal hasn't signed in the next few hours.

Edit: Oh surprise, guy backed out.

£80m + wages is still a fair penny spent.

They did try and go for a Di Maria type, Sanchez, and were rejected.

Only so many of those players and they are going to bigger clubs.

Regardless of whether he is simply 'misunderstood' or last season was an accurate reflection of his ability, he is entirely the wrong type of striker for Liverpool. He is far too immobile and static, and this was the same at Valencia as it was at Tottenham. He relied very much on players creating chances for himself and finishing them off. Tottenham didn't create enough chances for a striker like that and Liverpool don't either.
