PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | August 2014

The Hyperdimension Neptunia games are pretty bad. I strongly discourage anyone from buying them just because of the screenshots in this thread.

With that said, the strategy RPG spinoff that just got released in Japan looks pretty decent. Hopefully it will be announced for localization soon.

You guys know I'm not one to complain about prices, and defend both 2D and indie to death to people who illogically think day 1 on Vita should be the same price as a year 2 humblebundle... but man, these PSN indie prices are getting really ballsy.

Is anyone having trouble finding the Persona PSP games on their VITA storefront? I was trying to get P3P and the only one that is listed is Persona 2: EP. None of the PSP games are there anymore. I checked under SMT, under Persona and through search, and nothing :\

SCEA is removing PSP games from the Vita store because they can and aren't even contacting publishers. I guess these Atlus games were just the next victims after that Natsume game, Gurumin and ClaDun X2.

I can confirm that if you buy those games through the webstore you can download them directly from your list on Vita:

SCEA wants to take the crown from Sega of America (circa Saturn) to become the worst major platform holder.

hmm but $20

oh snap FFXIII-2 for $10 too?
I shouldn't unsealed the physical retail copy that I got for $10 too argh
$20 for two lengthy Vita RPG is an amazing value... But then again, you probably already own the physical PS3 and Vita versions.

Some cool looking PSM things today:

There's also another Flappy Bird clone and some weird whale educational app thing. I dunno.

I'd disagree, but only if one is able to put up with some (major) gameplay faults in favour of great writing.

That "Behind You" game looks pretty cool.

if you put it that way, I guess that's pretty good :D

Wow.....that is just....stupid :l. I can understand if there is a glitch in the system or something that is causing this...but at this point if that really was the case, it would have been taken care of by now :(.

I mean, it isn't like these games sell like shit either; LOTS of people got Persona 3 Portable and the other Altus games and the fact Altus is trying to sell even more copies of them via the recent sale makes this all the more stupid X(. I got Persona 3 Portable due to all the praise that and Persona 4 Golden got and both are some of my favorite PS Vita games I own :D. People not being able to try out P3P after enjoying P4G isn't right :(; some people don't even know how to use the web store, leaving the Vita as there only option to buy the games....and they can't X(.

....At least Sony didn't de....nope, I don't want to jinx anything X(. Hope SCEA finally sorts this crap out; it is a disservice to both the consumer and the publisher/developers behind these games.

I swear, it is like SCEA WANTS the Vita to die or something; what else explains these flat out bull-headed moves!

yes thats right, fuck all this shit

my monthly destiny of spirits freebie orbs are also important, (i think) they are being assholes and cheap ass about it by skipping a month.

Battlefield 4 Products (20% off multiple items)

wow this a bomba

I regret launching Metrico because now it'll forever be on my list of games. This is probably the most self-indulgent, pretentious game I've ever played.

I blindly bought Hyperdimension PP not expecting much but a fun/silly game. I actually had no idea what the game entailed. That's on me. But I was hoping more for a Hatsune Miku Project Diva F style game with VN persona style in between. The game is super shallow in terms of the features.

I was shocked at how lackluster the game was (in terms of what there was to do). But it really was my fault for not knowing what I was buying. I'm kind of weary about the RPG game (which I just found out existed today).

Still waiting on Playstation HK/Asia to give us R3 gamers their list for the month...hopefully it isn't as crappy as Playstation Taiwan's

Hong Kong management has not seperated itself from the rest of Asia. I don't have a TW account, but you can visit their respective PS+ page.

it's just annoying when they only put one version on PS+ (e.g. Mind Zero)
the thing is Asia is HUGE, with so many different cultures, etc - I don't see how Sony (or any company) can lump us together in Asia PS+

Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc would be very different from the rest.
Korea, Japan should have their own specific PS+ programmes (which the latter does have)

As for the people asking to get a "different" PS+ offerings per region on Asia due to the language version mixes, that is not likely to happen. It's less about "culture", and more from a business/efficiency standpoint.

Having separate PS+ only increases work for them with minimal benefits. Does anyone even have a statistics of how many console gamers there are in Asian countries?

And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that majority of the R3 is centralized in Hong Kong due to their free trade port, with few exceptions like Korean-only games.

Also, the fact that sometimes only one language gets there reflects who has the publishing rights for those language(and region?). Both publishers must be in agreement if you want "all" languages to be there. There're also release time discrepancies between version releases. You can't expect them to put the english version of Mind Zero up on PS+ when it was just released about 2 months ago. If any publisher did that, you can expect me to never buy from their stuff at launch and wait a year before even think of buying.* And I'd ask my friends and people in my circle to do the same.

This is a different case from buying an old game, and it was put up on PS+ the following week.

Just so you know, there are still Asian countries that Sony (as Playstation) officially recognizes but doesn't have their own store. Some countries aren't "big enough" to have such dedicated content for them.

It shouldn't be a wonder why Japan has their own store. Right...?

Nice Work! I friggin suck at those kinds of games :(

LOL Thanks. I suck at these games, too. But I find Project Diva fun (as well as a very, very few other rhythm games). The presentation in PD is just damn awesome.

So I kind of fucked up

Persona 4 Golden was on sale for 19.99 on PSN, and now it's back to 29.99. I could still get it on Amazon for 19.99 but my heart was set on getting it digitally. Does anyone know if this game is frequently on sale? Should I just get it from Amazon?

It's on sale all the time. Sale price is always 20 on PSN.

So I got a question GAF. I'm in the process of creating a PSN UK and Asian Account, since I've imported alot of PS Vita games worldwide. Can I still use the same login e-mail?? Or do I have to create a different one for each of them?? Also where do I go to buy PSN cards for my PAL and Asian region accounts?? Definitely don't want to miss out on alot of PSN store goodies worldwide.

LOL.
Is P4G on sale often? This guy
$20 might as well be its MSRP at this point seeing as how often it goes on sale

Which Asian account do you plan to make? If Hong Kong, you can buy digital PSN cards from Play-Asia. You'll receive the code right after you complete the purchase.

That haven't popped up as free yet? Or did they confirm somewhere they aren't meant to be free?
its suppose to be monthly free.

and its not the first time it happened, it's hopeless. they skipped out some months before also because reasons ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

store has been already updated many hours ago.

Fez is really a great game. It's a shame that so many people dismiss it entirely just because of Phil.
I see it more like it's a shame that the developer of the game was Phil.

But honestly I tried the demo and it wasn't my cup of tea anyways
