Thor showed more skill in one season than Gerrard has his whole career. Ramsey even showed some tekkers that were Totti level.

Hansen publicly apologized to Theo recently for saying that, saying he's a fine footballer.

Quite you.

Shanks I can't for the life of me understand how you can see someone like Walcott with the direct goal contributions he makes and call him a shit footballer and he actually helps his fullback out unlike Poldi. He might be limited, but he's definitely better than Gnabry.

Pellegrini on Wenger: "I think that as a manager we have enough problems with our teams without talking about other teams."

Pellegrini on Lampard/FFP doubts: "We didn’t spend any money on him so the rules of FFP doesn’t have any relation with Lampard."

Not sure about this if it happens. Looked good at the WC.

if he comes it's because he fits van Gaals vision. Can play the wingback or winger if we switched to 4-3-3. The way he drives forward is similar to what Valencia use to do, before he lost every ounce of confidence.

Looks like were inching closer on the Vidal front so all the papers Monday will be running with the deal being off.

God Magath seems like a spiteful little round headed shit

Says Fulham should never have signed Mitroglou and Hangeland wanted to leave despite Magath asking him to say, which I doubt

So it's a way to bypass the FFP.

Not that it will happen in case of Lampard, but, in order to not loose a player to another club, you could have a sister club buy them, load it from said club and then officially buy them next year from the sister club.

Be very interesting if we got both if they would still find another CB in time.

For fuck sake. Not this again. Why would the MLS agree to be a feeder organisation for City? The player ownership is different, the MLS has a much bigger say in things in what their clubs does. The Australian league has very strict rules for high-wage players, same as MLS. It wouldn't be possible. There is no ground for theories like that.

City group can't buy many more clubs either, I think there's a rule that says you can't own multiple teams that compete in one continent that share competitions (like Europe and CL, or Asia or South-america with their competitions). So they already own in Asia, Europe and USA.

How is it "So it's a way to bypass the FFP" when Lampard was available on a free and didn't cost anything? They're paying his full wages.

When van Ghaleon completes the signing of Cuardrado and Vidal, Hummels will have no choice but to join the cause. It is his destiny. Dare to dream. We have to leave Benatia at Roma so that they don't make a saga out of Strootman.

Good point.

I see on whoscored.com too that he played in defensive positions.

He would be a great signing, especially since I see us changing from 352 to 433 at some point.

Everything about pre season and VGs comments makes me think he wants the squad to switch between the 2 with minimal team changes so I definitely see the purchase as one looking towards the 4-3-3.

Be interesting to see how we would lline up with that formation given then personnel.

Lost 6 games in a row on career, cpu has had 8 shots, scored 8 goals, i hate this game

That Celtic decision is shocking. Losing 6-1 and then scraping through because of some botched paperwork.

If they had any class they'd refuse and let Legia through.

I am out on the town right now so can't chat much. But will save this post for tomorrow.

I really don't get this "issue" with the Celtic decision.

The other team fielded a suspended player, it's their fucking fault. Sure, they were better and those few minutes the suspended player played didn't make a difference. But it's a pretty damn stupid fault to make.

I mean, Real, Barca and the Spanish FA aside, it's a clear case in any league and would have been the same decision.

I really think you should just stop playing against the computer. Do you play online seasons much?

Not anymore, played up till division 3 and stopped

Career mode is fun, but it is fighting against a cheat engine, which is fun when you win, when you lose though :|

Much anger

Probable City line-up then:
Caballero/Hart
Clichy - Rekik/Boyata - Nastasic - Kolarov
Nasri - Fernando - Yaya* - Silva*
Jovetic - Dzeko

Subs: Caballero/Hart, Rekik/Boyata, Richards, Navas, Milner, Sinclair, Guidetti.

Silva and Yaya will probably only play 45-60 min since they're not fully match-fit.

Not available: Lampard, Demichelis, Kompany, Zabaleta, Sagna, Fernandinho and Aguero.

I'm happy with the Europa League draw. I don't really know Split, but I think Toro will do fine. Plus, it's a fairly close away trip too compare to flying to Cyprus or Kazakhstan.

I can only assume someone showed LvG the gif of Phil trying to head that ball away during the Newcastle game. And he laughed. And laughed. And laughed some more. And then he was violently sick.

I think everyone at the club have been surprised by him. He came, few expected big things, there were even rumours that City would cancel the pre-deal before. But then he's been very solid in every match. Works really hard, played over 100 matches in the highest Argentinian league and cups already at 21. Great long-range passer, likes to tackle, never stops running.

No one knows how far he's gonna go but Pellegrini really liked him.

Man, the vision on those long passes... sogood.gif. One thing I noticed in the later games, and especially in the one I went to, he got further and further forward more frequently as the preseason went on. He moved from the Ferna role to the Yaya role essentially. Very promising player, what a bargain he was.

I'm coming back on Monday, I hope we sort it out before then

Yeah you could really see how he became better and better for each match. It's just a weird situation now, Rodwell left City because of the competition and then the competition moved with him to his new club. I just hope it won't be a new Guidetti/Stoke situation.

He was easily worth more than £2m to start with, City could've gotten him for almost free but was "friendly" to Racing apparently (they're in a horrible financial situation). And when Valencia/Deportivo etc were up City's ass about loaning him instantly, you know he has a good reputation.

It's a shame that Lille drew Porto. I expect Porto will win and that'd prevent Rony from getting much Champions League experience. If Lille does win though, that means Porto are absolutely fucked for revenue this season and will almost certainly have to sell a big player to balance the books.
