... to see a lonely spooky child's blackboard left behind.

ffs.

You are the kid and you already died so the blackboard will linger eternally on one day left to go to grandmas house.

Or grandma is dead and her house is the afterlife, which you will visit in one day.

I dunno. There's a bad movie in here somewhere.

I thought "onley" was "lonely"

So I read it as:

It is lonely
1 more days
until I go to gran
mars house

creepy

I know it's a new house...but you may want to burn it down before crazy shit starts happening.

Guys

I don't think the kid actually got to his grandmas house :(

Holy shit

no reason to be scared at all, it's probably been written by some six feet tall, insanely muscular, slow minded white man wearing overalls who loves to roam around your house at night and spy through the windows

You also may as well go for the full creepiness factor at this stage and buy a musical carousel to place up there.

Actually, there's probably already one in your basement.

Creepy.

When I bought my house I found the old ladys wallet. She had died several years earlier.

Had 20 bucks and a couple quarters and pennies.

Grats on the house though, OP!

Thanks!

Won't do him much good when he's experience eternal torment in the pain halls of Necropolis.

... dammit!

OK, so if my account isn't active for 7 days, please send inform the police.

Actually, now I think about it we found a random magazine (called 'Picture Post') from 1941 too:

Sorry to spoil it, but that's a common IKEA piece; my kids have one. Spoils the potential for me at least.

No 1970s or earlier cultist-massacred family or walled-in children scenarios for you.

When we were house hunting a decade ago, one of the houses we looked at had a wicked creepy crawl space/basement. I've seen dug out dirt crawl spaces before, but this one had fresh-looking soil piled up on one side. Perhaps 20ftx6ftx4ft. There were several crucifix nailed to the support beams. Two of the upstairs bedrooms had sliding bolt locks on the hallway sides. But it had an amazing bathroom with a jacuzzi..

No we didn't buy it.
